Shii-Ann looked totally doable tonight.

Perhaps he can use Jerri's therapist. He's done wonders for her. -ohbfrank-

So who lasts longer, Rob and Amber or Jenna and Ethan?

Also, has anyone heard where the next Survivor is going to be?

Amazing what a shower, a little makeup and a smile can do. I think Shii-Ann proved to be the biggest fan of the show. She was absolutely star struck by Hatch during the show and she was able to look at the show from an outsider's perspective after the show. They should give her a job, let her pick through the future audition tapes or something.

Decker 05-10-04 01:16 AM

Sorry. My DVR crapped out on me tonight and I only caught the final half hour of the two hour show. If somebody would be so kind could someone recap:
1) What is that decision with Jenna L. that everyone was talking about with not forcing a tie?
2)What was the final immunity challenge that Rob won?
3) What was the suprise in the show that was supposed to "BLOW YOU AWAY (gasp)"? I was assuming there was some twist before the reunion-vote thingie, wasn't there?

Thanks again! :D

One more thing of a legal nature:
Since the "Quiz Show" scandal of the 50's, there have been strict regulations regarding game shows to make sure they're not fixed. Jeff has said that the only way to get kicked off Survivor was to throw a punch or conspire to share the winnings. In season two Tina was barred from buying Colby a motorcycle like she had wanted to as a result of these regulations. How do Rob and Amber's impending nuptules figure into this. Surely one should be allowed to marry anyone of their choosing (oh, I mean of the opposite gender, of course. Sorry Mr Bush  ), but how can those regulations be circumvented? Does anyone know?

Capital K-R-A-P! Wife and I went out of town for the day to visit Mom and came home tonight to find out that a storm or something messed up the ReplayTV and we got only the first 30 Seconds of the first show. HELP!
I've not read any of the posts above, but what is the best way of getting the last two shows on a disk or something??? I've got a newer Sony DVD player that plays just about any format of video on a disk. Technology is great...when it works. Is there anyone here who can help out a long-time DVDTalker? Or is it best to just do something like e-Bay? Any advice is appreciated.

I agree Rob should have won the million but to vote for him as the 2nd million winner after he's already getting a share of the 1st by marrying Amber? Don't think so. My vote will be for Rupert. Back to Back Survivors, being away almost a year from his family and probably one of my most memorable moments in Survivor history, him stealing those shoes and turning them in to the local merchants for supplies was classic.

He may have not been "survivor material" because he's honest and wouldn't stab someone else in the back to win but he put forth a good effort and I admire him for that.

Jackskeleton 05-10-04 02:36 AM

I agree, the two already are going to be good with the million for both. Give the other million to rupert.

BlackCapTen 05-10-04 03:21 AM

The videos are up on cbs.com (of the Survivors telling us why we should vote for them). Rob C. has a good pitch. Tom's is just wacky.

Shannon Nutt 05-10-04 04:52 AM

I don't know what you guys think...but I think it's an insult to Amber to give one of the "losers" a million dollars. If I had won the million, I would be like "you mean I went through all of this and someone who got voted off might get the same prize?!"

CBS should have made it $500,000 instead.

Was I the only one hoping CBS would let us pick the cast for the NEXT All-Stars? That would have been far more fun. (Bring back Johnny Fairplay...he would have seen right through Boston Rob this season!)

Is it me or do Amber and Jenna look even hotter than before?

John-In-VA 05-10-04 06:35 AM

Rich is the best, no doubt about it. Even when he got voted off, he said with a big grin "I got bamboozled!".

1. The final 4 was Jenna, Rupert, Rob, and Amber. Obviously there are two alliances there, so the vote would be 2-2. Jenna was approached by Rob and Amber and voted Rupert out 3-1 instead of causing a tie.

2. They had to stand on 2 poles and touch the immunity idol the whole time without lifting a foot (which is what Jenna did) or using your other hand to touch the idol (which is what Amber did).

3. Jeff announced that the public will vote on who wins another $1 million. Any of the 18 survivors can be picked by the public. Voting ends Wednesday, it's announced on Thusday,

I knew Rob couldn't win the million because of all the back stabbing he had to do. Amber hardly got any of the hatred that Rob got.

He wound up splitting it anyway, that's if Amber doesn't dump him.

Im voting for Rupert for the 2nd million. He's a nice guy who worked harder than anyone else in 2 Survivor shows plus single handedly feed his tribe.

I don't think any previous winners will get it (Tina, Rich, Ethan & Jenna M) or Survivors that are hated (Lex, Jerri, Sue).
That only leaves Colby, Rob C., Alicia, Kathy, Shi-Ann,Tom , Jenna & Rupert.

You would think that Rupert and Jenna would be the top 2 choices because they got so much further than the rest.

dstrauss 05-10-04 08:16 AM

Jenna definitely looked pretty good last night. Hell, even Shii-Ann looked good.

I voted for Rupert, although I was tempted to vote for Rob C just because he really got snookered.

I have no clue if this is true in terms of this regulation, but almost all regulations of this sort have exceptions in the case that the parties are married.

suziq999 05-10-04 08:22 AM

I thought Tina DID end up buying Colby a motorcycle. I thought she wanted to give him some money and they nixed that, so she bought him the bike instead.

uteotw 05-10-04 08:24 AM

All the crying and whining by Lex and Tom about their "hurt feelings" were a JOKE.
One last time:
It
is
a
GAME.
Get over it.

Agree with Shannon Nutt that CBS should've made this "second winner" prize for $500K, not the same amount Romber had to go through to win it.

Tommy Ceez 05-10-04 08:24 AM

Amber looks terrible with her hair down...and Rob got fat, he looks just like his brother now. I could definatly see that guy packing on about another 150 since he's engaged now.

I thought Rosie O'Donnell bought him a motorcycle.

Did anyone really understand why Jerri left? I couldn't bring myself to actually listen to her tirade. This is from a girl who used Survivor to 'catapult' herself to the cover of playboy, so I'm not really feeling sorry for her.

And Lex is a biotch.

And Rich still rocks, as gross as he is. He is really one of the only people that understand this game.

das Monkey 05-10-04 09:07 AM

Although it was a bit weak, I loved that he used the Chess analogy. Over the weekend, my mother was bitching about Rob, and I used the game analogy too. If we're playing Battleship, I'm going to try to sink you, but I wouldn't blow up a boat you were on in real life. If we're playing Monopoly, I'm going to try to bankrupt you, but again, not in real life. If we're playing Survivor, I'm going to break alliances and turn on friends to get further in the game, but I wouldn't do that to you in real life. We don't carry emotional baggage into any other game, so why do it in Survivor.

As for Jerri, bah. So you got booed for whining all the damn time. You interrupt the reunion show to break out in some persecution speech, and you wonder why people don't like you? You're not entitled to positive celebrity. If you want to continually throw yourself into the public eye knowing full well how it works (Surreal Life, Playboy, All Stars ...), don't cry about it when you get your wish.

das

Come now, people. We have a duty to award Jerri the 2nd million since we are ALL guilty of using her for our own entertainment purposes.
