Rubert hasn't had a fair shake the last few times so I'll vote for him. Rob's already has his money and then some.

wildcatlh 05-09-04 10:07 PM

I would be positively stunned if Rupert doesn't win.

Goldberg74 05-09-04 10:09 PM

Voting for Rupert... every waking moment of the day...

astrochimp 05-09-04 10:09 PM

I voted for Rudy.

Patman 05-09-04 10:15 PM

Rupert doesn't deserve the prize. He never had the "game" to win Survivor. Robfather is my pick.

Same here. In addition to helping draw more viewers to an otherwise pointless epilogue, it is a way to give the public what it wants which is for Rupert to win a million.

Same here. I would have voted for Rob, but he gets to bang Amber and he will get to 'share' that money, so he doesn't need the charity. Heck, I am leaning toward voting Rupert.

As I predicted several weeks ago, the Rob/Amber final produced a close result. I knew that Kathy would not be like the poster children of the sour grapes Survivors, Lex and Alicia. She put the hurt feelings aside and went with her gut on who the better player was. Props to her.

My opinion of Lex has sunk to a low. IT'S A FRIGGIN GAME, YOU PUSS!!! Meanwhile, Shi-Ann totally redeemed herself with her comments during jury questioning and the reunion.

Jerri. rotfl Tom - with your behavior tonight, you basically pissed away any chance of winning that million. rotfl

I think Rob was more deserving than Amber, but I think Amber played the game well enough to earn the title. Unfortunately, now that she has that nice cash prize, it takes away any motivation for her to pose for Playboy. :(

Yeah - I kind of did a :hscratch: at first, but then I realized that the 2 sitting adjacent to Rob/Amber both voted Rob, and there was no way Tom was going to get that car after his comments.

mookiemeister 05-09-04 10:27 PM

Amber won $1 million. I'm so happy now. She's my favorite Survivor contestant. I didn't think the jury would vote for her over Rob. But glad they did because Rob is a bit of an *******.

I voted on CBS.com for Rupert to win that 2nd million dollars. I think he deserve it. Anyone know when they are going to announce who win the 2nd million bucks?

coladar 05-09-04 10:29 PM

2nd million bucks gets announced this Thursday at 8pm.

And I'm not so sure Lex will finish last... Jerri has a strong possibility of surpassing Lex in the unpopularity contest.

That didn't stop Jenna M.

I'm voting for Rich, I know he won before and that rupert will probably win now but I still think Rich is by far the most entertaining of the group.

Patman 05-09-04 10:41 PM

RE: "It's just a game"

I would offer the "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" line, so "what happens on the island, stays on the island."

Lex is just being a baby about it all. I laughed everytime he was "ushering" the next to go because I knew that when it was his time to go, he wouldn't take it well. Who the hell appointed him the grim reaper of Survivor?

Patman 05-09-04 10:44 PM

I still don't understand the love that Rupert gets. I still think he's just an over-sized man-child who's so emotional that he could never win this game. Sure, he might be your best pal out there in the wilderness, but as a player on Survivor, he's not emotionally equipped to handle the dirty work. Sure, he's noble, but this isn't Nobility Island. Sure, he can catch fish, but this ain't Fishing Idol.

Exactly.

I have a feeling Rupert is going to get the mil on Thursday, but I would like to see Rob get it. Just to piss off the asshats on the jury that took everything personally.

SunMonkey 05-09-04 10:51 PM

Go Rupert! I hope he gets the second $1,000,000.

What were the prizes this time around? I thought I read earlier that all the prizes were bumped up for the losers (e.g. $2500 to $25000 for the first voted off).

exactly, Rob deserved the win!
Although I don't have a problem with Amber winning (and I'm sure Rob doesn't either!).

Lex is just silly, trying to put himself on a pedestal when he did the exact same thing to Ethan and Colby and Jerri.

I just found it so strange how these people don't realize how you have to adapt your play accordingly to the flow of the game.
And if Rob would have played differently like these people were saying he should he wouldn't have been in the final two.

I understand that, ofcourse others would be upset their way didn't work and they didn't win.
But you have to give Rob his due, Lex tried a similar strategy and would have loved to be in Rob's position.

I don't like Shi-Ann's strategy, and didn't like her through most of the season or her past Survivor stint, but atleast she realizes how it's a game and you have to PLAY THE GAME.
Not the others attitude of "..........even though you won, our way of playing was better". uh huh, keep telling yourself that and that's why YOU LOST.

For the second million public vote, I'd give it to:

Rob - for him truely winning All-Star Survivor (Amber wouldn't be there without him)

Rupert - for just being fun to watch, although I liked him last time around better

Rich - for setting the pace of the whole series. Truely designed the game and set the tone for how to play it. And he has a good attitude about it as shown in tonight's recap.

The losers of tonight:
Jerri
Lex
Big Tom

Jadzia 05-09-04 11:02 PM

I thought the reunion show spent far too much time with Big Tom-- does anyone really care what he thinks? I think he's the biggest nothing player ever. I wish they would have cut that to ask about Sue & Hatch or even how Lex and Kathy feel now about Rob.

Sue may have gotten the extreme makeover, but they forgot speech lessons. She still sounds like a truck driver; they should have also given her an Eliza Doolittle crash course on being a lady. Usually the Survivors sit in the order they were voted off, but I noticed her and Hatch wer enot sitting next to each other. Didn't she leave the week after he was booted? I guess there are still issues there.

I wish they had spoken to Rob C. at the reunion.

I felt kind of bad for Jerri-- she got booed before she even said anything. But then she started speaking and I realized she deserved the boos. Still, I thought it was funny she pulled a Puck and had to leave. I expected her to come back near the end to get more attention.

In the forst Survivor, i thought Jenna L. looked prettier on the island than when she came back (she looked better without makeup).l but on this one, she looked awful on the island but really pretty with makeup on. I thought Amber looked prettier on the island than on the reunion show.

Did anyone else notice Amber didn't look that happy at the reunion show? She almost seemed pissed off or annoyed at something.

Vonner 05-09-04 11:05 PM

I"m voting for Rudy to win the second million. He's always cracked me up, and he seemd like a good upstanding person. His comment on the reunion show about "doing something" about all the back stabbing that was going on was great!

hotaru_san 05-09-04 11:06 PM

I don't think Rob would have made it to the final two without Amber. I think he needed someone he could really count on to keep him stable enough to manage all his deals. I think they needed each other and both benefited a lot from each other (which seems obvious from what their relationship has become). She knew and admitted that she got to play the "good cop" through the show- sometimes that doesn't make a winner and sometimes it does. The jury went with her but could have decided that she just rode Rob's coattails and awarded him the money. I think they both deserved it pretty much equally.

I think it would be really funny to see Rob win, especially if they show Lex's reaction.

My mom kept mentioning that, too. She didn't think she looked very sincere (or something like that).

I couldn't stand how the big dumbass couldn't answer a yes-or-no question w/out flapping his gums for five minutes.

off topic: Happy Mother's Day, Jadz!

Caliking 05-09-04 11:51 PM

im on pacific time so i just watched the jury's questions, etc.

does tom realize he made himself look stupider than he already looked? that was lame..."dont be stupid, stupid" ?

most of this jury is a bunch of sour losers. it is a game...its your prob if you cant seperated friendship and the game! lex sucks.

das Monkey 05-10-04 12:11 AM

Dammit, dammit, sonofabitch. Just when I build a compelling case against her, she goes and redeems herself. I still don't like Shii Ann, but I finally respect her. I'm still not sure why she was chosen to be an All Star, but unlike some of the crybabies from this season, she proved herself in the end to be more deserving of that title than them.

These are essentially my thoughts as well on each point so I won't restate them, except to add (as I've said before) that Hatch is my hero. I haven't wanted anyone to win as badly as I wanted him to in the first season, and every time he speaks, he reinforces why I felt that way. After 8 seasons of this, he is still the ultimate survivor.

Even with Sue around, at this point, it's hard to find a more unlikeable Survivor than Lex. What a bitch. Grow up.

Patman 05-10-04 12:14 AM

Grown men that have to colorize their hair, or go for the mohawk have other internal self-issues within them. Lex needs years of therapy.

DAC 05-10-04 12:48 AM

Lex is a jackass. He says that he backstabbed Ethan, Jerri, and Colby because they weren't part of his game plan. Then he gets pissed and carries that grudge for months, after having the tables turned on him. Boston Rob did to him what he did to others. It always amazes me how pissed these people get when they are voted off. It's a game show! There can be only one winner. Rich has the right attitude about it.
