Yeah I think it was actually "Chloe, I'm really beginning to hate your personality", in which case I'll assume its her first day if they're just beginning to hate her.
Yeah the "Michelle will be put back in harm's way" twist was a bit obvious. And I can't help but notice how well Chase is coming along after his hand was shot from close range and later had gasoline poured into the wound. But now I'm just nitpicking.
Overall good episode, though I still get the feeling Jane will somehow try to help her father. And why the hell was Kim sent to escort Jane?

At least that's my take.

The overly dramatic "something bad will happen to me after this good news" scene with Michelle ... not one, but two, obvious red herrings with Kim ... a train!?!
This whole episode was setup to try and fake out the audience, but it was so heavy-handed that none of it worked. It was also really disappointing to see them take Tony's character this way just for some silly "shocking" ending. Tony's going to risk deadly national outbreak to save his wife? Sure. Why not. No sense protecting thousands of innocent civilians (and children) when you can temporarily save the eye of a trained agent who's willing and prepared to die.

As a 24 fan, it saddens me to have to agree with das today. I also think they played the "drama" bit too much here esp. with Adam/Tony and Kim/Jane dialogue.

Yeah, I was hoping Fox would throw in an angry Obi-Wan yelling at Tony - "Come to your senses! What do you think Michelle would do if she was in your position?!!"

I loved how the CTU officers in the front seat of the transport paid no attention to the motorcycle that pulled up right along side them
That whole part was the worst fake out ever, or at least since the guy in the library wearing the red shirt last week.

For a second I thought Chloe was going to be the mole, but I think she's just crazy. Her little quirks are some of my favorite parts of the show.

This show is getting old....I was almost hoping they would wrap up this show with this story and allow Kiefer to move onto other ventjures. I would like to see him back in movies on a regular basis. I know he has done some of recent times but I believe he can be a big money maker once he has finished 24. IMO

yeah- especially since he was walking down the MIDDLE OF THE STREET!! lol
I enjoyed this episode. I do agree with Das and everyone else regarding Tony; I think it was a cop-out to have him make that move- especially after his speech with Adam and the Jack/Chapelle twist.
There's only four eps left, and the team still has to:
1.) Capture Saunders
2.) Contain the virus
3.) Find and capture all of Saunders' men, with all of the viles still in tact.
Go CTU! You only have 4 hours left!!

Chloe would go down as the most annoying mole in TV history if she's a mole. Usually moles try to be as non-descript as possilbe. Chloe does nothing but draw attention to herself (maybe that's her ploy, or maybe her personality really isn't cut out for mole-ness).
It's pretty obvious that Saunders had men dressed up in containment suits to blend in with the others helping out with quarenteening the hotel. Now, it could be that Saunders was able to make Michelle immune before the start of the day, but he'd have to also know that it would be Michelle sent into the hotel, and that's a hard prediction to rely on if things were set in motion earlier than the present day. Anyhow, the use of Michelle as a hostage/leverage over Tony reeks of creative writing gone amok in some respects. Sure, it's dramatic, but plausible? Hmm...

Since when has plausibility had anything to do with 24?

I think if they return for a season 4 they need to scrap the real time aspect of the show. It was fun and interesting, but there is only so much you can do, and I think if they open it up to standard tv time format they could do more and keep the show from completely folding in on itself.

Last night's episode was a joke, IMO. I know that 'plausibility' and '24' don't fit in the same sentence well, but c'mon!
The scene with Kim and the train/motorcycle - there would definitely be cop cars around and the CTU agents in the front seat, WTF?
Saunders getting away at the end...everyone went to the front of the building - not the otherside of town! No one stood on the corner and was able to take a look down the alley...since he's walking down the middle of it?
The 'forced' emotions of love by Tony and Michelle...
Sorry, but completely unconvincing.
Furthermore, something may still be up with Michelle. The guy in the room with her when they got their test results back found out that he was infected, yet his nose wasn't bleeding. As already stated, I think Saunders has his cronies in the hotel and they're up to some crazy hi jinks!

Tony is really a piece of work:
"Adam, your sister is in the process of dying the most painful death imagineable [4-second pause] -- now get yer ____ back to work!"
"My wife is captured? Millions of lives must be at risk for a painful and certain death so that Michelle's eye can stay in tact!"
I'm not sayin' it'd be easy to sacrifice one's wife, but he's the head of CTU, in charge of protecting the safety of the nation AND he asks others to make the very hard choices--and then he caves in a heartbeat...

this show blows now. i don't think i like a single character and the writing reminds me of a B action movie you would see after midnite on cinemax. ugh.
at this point i'm rooting for the virus.

I have to agree with waporvare, last night's episode was by far the most over the top yet.
I hate to say it, but I hope next season is the last.
Oh, and I hope they wrap up all the dangling plot threads next year too! So far we have:
The strange Germans that Nina was working for at the end of season1 (Who I don't think we ever saw again).
The guy that hired Mandy to give the deadly handshake to Palmer at the end of season2 (Who I don't think we ever saw again).
Jack's heroine addiction
Jack being an "outlaw" or whatever for breaking that Saluzar out of prison.
