Funny episode, but as others have said, Mel was a little too over-the-top.

However, I squirmed a bit when Mel showed up at the theater, because Cartman had said earlier that if Mel was in front of him he'd lick his balls. Thank God he just bowed to him

Somehow i think Mel's 300 million will help him get over this

I didn't like the show this week, the ripping apart of The Passion was the primary motive of the show at the expense of laughs. Don't get me wrong there were a few laugh out loud rips on the movie, but it seemed that parker and stone had an agenda they wanted to get out there and hit the movie from every possible angle without thinking if all the jokes worked or not.

From: Bartertown due to it having a better economy than where I really live.
granted I was really drunk and had just puked shortly before hand, but I saw it last night and he was definitely saying qapla
I'll never be able to watch The Road Warrior the same way again
"two days ago I saw a rig that can haul that tanker"
then he chases them in the truck from TRW
Wish they had done his voice a bit better though

They don't ever really even try with the celebrity voices. It's usually just Trey Parker's normal speaking voice.

Yeah, I've always found it even more humorous how they make almost no effort to actually impersonate the celebrity's voice.

I only started watching regularly a few seasons ago, but I thought it was interesting that they used a photorealistic face of Gibson. Except for Saddam Hussein, have they done that with any other characters?

Only other one I recall is when Mr. Garrison got cosmetic surgery.

They also used one for Ben Affleck, the first time he was on the show (episode 510 - How To Eat With Your Butt). I can't think of any others off the top of my head,

For the person who asked if Jesus has returned to South Park since his death in Red Sleigh Down, he has shown up one time since then, in the 100th episode, I'm A Little Bit Country. He was in the large crowd of people singing at the end of the episode.

They did it with Tony Danza in the "Rainforest, Schmainforest" one.

Wow... good memory. Apparently it's been way too long since I've watched that episode.

That's one of my favorite random throw-away South Park jokes.

Interesting. So he seems to be alive and well in South Park, yet he wasn't consulted on the whole "Passion" fiasco? I'm dissapointed in Trey and Matt. How could they not include Jesus in this episode?
