South Park 3/31
Hey guys,
Another heads up for an all new South Park. This Wednesday, March 31st at 10PM EST on Comedy Central is episode #804 entitled "The Passion of the Jew". Cartman's obsession with Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" reaches new maniacal heights, and Kyle finally caves and sees the film. Meanwhile Stan and Kenny are off having an adventure of their own. Enjoy! :) |
I cannot wait to see how the boys skewer Gibson...I have a feeling Kyle is gonna maybe
Spoiler:
|
Can't wait. I've been loving all of Cartman's Mel Gibson references in the first two episodes of the season, so I'm sure there will be more than an ample amount in this next episode.
|
What did Cartman say at the parade and what was the response?
|
Translation
Cartman: "We must take revenge" Crowd: "Exterminate the Jews!" |
:jawdrop:
|
RoyalTea, I think you summed it all up pretty well
|
Yeah, that'd about cover it.
So wrong. So very very wrong. |
I thought this was a very good episode, and had some great laugh out loud moments, but I can see a lot of people just not liking it.
Anyway, I love how they make fun of celebrities, and Mel's was classic, if a little over the top. I hope Mel gets the joke, either way I'd love to read the letter the guys get from this. |
[Trek geek]Did anyone else think Mel was spouting what sounded like a Klingon phrase ("Qapla'")?[/Trek geek]
|
The episode was good up until they actually visted Mel, then it went downhill in a hurry.
|
When Mel sprayed shit on Cartman at the end I was rolling!
 |

Wasn't that great of an episode, some lines made me laugh though.
And Baseketball was a funny movie. |
I also thought it lost steam when the boys visited Mel, and I thought Cartman as Hitler could have been funnier. However up until that point I laughed out loud quite a few times, especially in the beginning when Cartman and Kyle were arguing about the movie and about everyone hating Jews. I think it was a good, but not great episode.

bring it, bitch!
|
I brought it, set it down, and opened it bitch!
I agree that it was good until they visited Mel |

Odd, I thought the Mel Gibson antics were the best part of a rather blah episode. Especially the old WB cartoon bits. "Good evening, friennnnnnds!"
|
"I brought it, I opened it, and I set it down on the table.... BITCH!"
"This will be just like the time we got our money back for BASEketball!" |
Cartman walking away from the phone had me rolling
|
Only a couple funny moments, but overall, just not a good episode.
More often than not, I just wasn't laughing at the parts where they just went over the top with Gibson. Just went straight downhill and never recovered. |
The Gibson parts were a let down to me, other than that I enjoyed the ep.
|
They are sure using a lot of new facial expressions, walking styles and body positions this season. Its causing the animation to not look as rough as it used to and I think its kind of taking away from the show a bit. It doesn't have that "construction-paper" look it used to.
|
I was hoping for more, but it was still pretty funny. I thought the Gibson stuff was kind of funny, but mostly pretty stupid (I did like the part when he was chasing the bus in the Mad Max spoof). Still, seeing Kyle's face as he was watching The Passion and the Basketball remark made the episode worth while. Hey, Matt and Trey, thanks for the Basketball apology.
