I disagree with people saying BUffy but I would like to nominate another SMG show.....Swans Crossing. The teenage soap opera in the early 90's

Thats my Bush. I think the creators intentionally made it suck, same way as they are always doing for South Park

Although from what I've read, "My Mother the Car" was abominable in a way that can't even be imagined.
Often listed as the worst show of all time, there's a level of satire and just plain absurdity to the show that IMO elevates it above the worst of the worst.

Hey - the one in the mid 80's that JMS did was pretty kick ass. Of the post Serling TZ and TZ-knock-offs, thats the only one I'd consider buying.

The New WKRP in Cincinnati (late 80's syndicated version, not the 70's CBS classic)
The New Munsters (same vein as above)
Home Movies

The mid-80s Twilight Zone was pretty cool.

Small Wonder, objectively, was really really bad. Sure its got some Saturday or Sunday afternoon nostalgia factor going, but the whole thing sucked.

Charles in Charge was pretty bad as well.

I second "Mama's Family"
Abysmal....and yet I've seen people actually watching and laughing at it.

Crossing Over with J? Edwards.

Exploiting grieving family members with obviously phony 'psychic' mumbo-jumbo. Even worse than infomercials.

Wow, so many bad shows. How does one choose?

Just a few that quickly came to me:

Webster
Love American Style
Thunder in Paradise
Logan's Run: the series
The Brady Brides
Rags to Riches

....I'll stop for now. The last two I think are the worst on that small list. Just bad.

How can you hate Love American Style? It's truer than the red, white, and blue-ue-ue.

I was going to say every single reality show on FOX, including the 'When _____s Attack' ilk, but then I read Calculon's post and everything became clear...

Crossing Over w/ John Edwards is the absolute lowest of the low, followed by that pet psychic lady.

She's the Sheriff with Susanne Somers was pretty awful, possibly one of the worst. Also wretched was Woops! on Fox.

But really, about the worst one I can actually remember seeing is Stand By Your Man with Rosie O'Donnell and Melissa Gilbert.

7th Heaven...what a cheesy, hokey, sappy, overly-wholesome, milky-white, non-existant family. Never in my years have I seen a family like that. Not even the Koy family is that wholesome. Brothers and sisters that don't fight and love each other so? Whatever.

Oh--and every episode of American Idol from here on out.

perfect strangers.

the pattern of the comedy on this show is that all the characters are the dumbest people on the planet so everything they do must be funny.

Of course the long nightmare did eventually end, but the aftereffects continue to be felt daily on TBS. Yeah, TBS, the channel that plans to change its name to "Very Funny" while airing this garbage ad nauseum.
Oh, not just TBS my friend but back to back episodes on Nick-at-Night as well. And my daughter loves it! Just the fact that Uncle Joey was the reason Alannis Morrisette wrote "You Ought to Know" makes me laugh and cry all at once when it's on.

Actually that show was a very clever satire of cheesy sitcom conventions. I think a lot of people just dismissed it as a bad sitcom instead of a parody of one.

I still think the episode that featured Bush wanting to put Laura's smelly old cat to sleep (where she overhears and assumes he is avoiding "going downtown on her" due to bad feminine odor) was one of the funniest 30 minutes of TV I've ever seen.

I remember that show. The mom of Susane Somers was very scary.

No way! That show ruled because of Willie Ames' wonderful portrayal of Buddy Lembeck!
