After April I will be immune from your taunting, you silly English pigdog! You mother was a hampster, and your father smelled of elderberries!

Today's order status: "Out for Delivery"

Since I finished the last B5 before getting my HDTV, I can't wait to check out Season 4 in all it's anamorphic glory.

Good point. I got me one o’ them HDTV thingies, too. So I’ll put that positive spin on it.

Mine’s somewhere on its way from Fernley NV, wherever the hell that is.

I didn’t know das’s mom was a hamper. ‘Splains a few things.

I'm pissed - as I was watching the second episode last night, it pixilated like hell and froze up. I checked the disc and it had some MAJOR scratches on it, along with a bunch of finger prints - this is straight out of the package - how does this happen? Anyways, I checked the other discs and the 2nd disc looked pretty bad too. BB better let me exchange it.

Floaters? Man, you GOTTA do the shake ‘em up test before going to the checkout.

All three of my sets had floaters. Happened thrice with S1. I managed to talk the distrib (North American DVD?) into exchanging just the scratched disc.

I don’t think you’ll have a problem exchanging.

Yeah, always shake the package (no, not that "package"). Also, always check the spine for razorblade slashes. The ****wads at my BB tear into their DVD cases with a ginsu blade and slash the Hell out of everything before shelving it. You're supposed to slash the prices, assclowns, not the product itself.

No no - they weren't floaters, they were already damged straight out of the box - I'm guessing they were mis-handled while they were being put into the packaging. If it was a floater, I would've noticed and checked before playing it.

I'm sure they'll exchange it... but I wish BB could do something about the hammy acting and the rushed plot-tread resolutions.

Hey now, doesn't it mean something that I can still look past all that and still enjoy the show (not to mention, shell out $75 a season for it)?

But still, what is up with when Sheridan makes a speech, outlining the whole Shadow/Vorlon history in about 3 minutes?

After 3 seasons of steady building we get: "Oh, by the way, here's where they come from, what their purpose is and what they're going to do tomorrow. Any new business?"

I guess now adays, most sci-fi shows look sort of lame next to Farscape.

I haven't gotten to that part yet, but I'm guessing JMS did this because he didn't think he was going to get a 5th season and he had to wrap things up in a hurry.

In a perfect world I would be a multi-billionaire with a harem of petite brunettes and an unlimited supply of beer and Yodels.

In a perfect world, I’d already have mine, and at 10 bucks less than BB.

In a perfect world I’d know what Yodels were. (I wonder how many Yodels my 10 bucks will buy whilst I’m waiting.)

I’m wondering if this should be renamed The Babylon 5 Season FOUR Appreciation Thread?

Watched "Whatever Happened to Mr. Garibaldi?" last night. Again, more questions raised than answered, but this is really good stuff (as usual).

Geez... I just finished 'Into the Fire' and I could swear I was watching the end of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Poor, just poor...

However, I still like the show overall...

Edit: on further contemplation, maybe my expectations are just way too high.

Strafe, if that's in any way my fault, I certainly apologize. I intentionally overpromoted this show a bit in an attempt to break through the wall so many people had put up against it. I expected some people would consequently set their expectations too high, but I figured it was worth it. I hope you agree.

Please, please, don't apologize. It's a fine show and you are certainly not the only person who 'overpromoted' it.

That said, I still defy anyone to show me a more complete full 22-episode season than B5's Season 3.

A clear favorite had it reached more than 13 episodes.
