You have to remember that Rupert is sleeping better and eating a whole lot more. Not to mention the effects that Osten has from losing 4 times in a row. I also think Osten played it dumb. He should have wrapped the rope around his body like Rupert when they had to stand. You also have to take into account that something like this is not only strength but weight. Rupert has to use less to hold the rope when on the ground and when wrapped around his body because he weighs 50+ more.

I don't think it helped that Osten seems to have given up already. Rupert is my favorite survivor right now. The guy is nuts.

Rupert is hell bent and has the desire to win. Osten has already been broken from that whole tarp crap. I'm sure it's heavy on him already and no amount of sleep or food could bring back that spirit unless they start winning the challanges.
