So will this be the only the season finale or the series finale? I'm hoping on the season finale.

I'm hoping for "Season Finalé" as well.

Also, I forgot to mention another special guest star:

Spoiler:
Cheryl Ladd will be back for tonight's ep.

Red Dog 02-15-08 10:54 AM

I wonder if this will have 15 things going on at once like last year's ridiculous finale. One thing I can guess - there will be some birth crisis with Delinda.

Honestly, given how Las Vegas has been on a steady decline since S2, I really wouldn't be that upset if it was cancelled. Hopefully it's written in a way with no major cliffhangers and can serve as a series finale if cancelled.

DJariya 02-15-08 12:43 PM

So this is episode 18 and 19. Hmmmm, I surprised that the season is already over in February. I'm surprised they chose not to stretch out the season unil April or May.

TheMovieman 02-15-08 12:59 PM

I think given the decent increase in viewers out of "FNL", NBC should give it a half season to at least finish things off. Maybe it'll get better ratings with a different lead in. If not, it'll get a proper series finale.

DJariya 02-15-08 01:11 PM

I think NBC should at least order 13 more episodes for the fall and probably write episode 13 as a series finale.

JB7 02-15-08 01:26 PM

I so hope this won't be the end. I'll take a Season 6, even if it only means 13 episodes. I want a proper ending.

Goldberg74 02-15-08 09:27 PM

Spoiler:
"Your father was fine when I left him."

"In Paris?"

"When I 'left him' left him. Your father and I are through."

To be continued...

According to The Futon Critic (http://www.thefutoncritic.com/listin...0080204nbc12):

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
due to the strike, only 19 of the 22 episodes ordered this season have been completed
I wonder if three more will be made, or be caried over until next season.

Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. 02-15-08 11:02 PM

The part with
Spoiler:
cooper not being dead in the plane crash
was pretty obvious I thought, glad that wasn't part of the to be continued.

TheMovieman 02-16-08 01:12 AM

Well, that's one way to get renewed next season... NBC wouldn't want another "Alf" situation*, lol.

Of course, if they decided not to renew, they could easily just do a 2 hour series finale, but that would suck.

As for this episode, I knew Coop wasn't dead, but I am interested to see why he wasn't on the plane and what his plans were (was the crash a part of it or something?). Was Manning behind it?

Edit: I do wonder if they'll film the final 3 episodes of the order and air them for May sweeps...

cracksky 02-16-08 04:16 PM

That was lame to have a memorial for Cooper without confirmation of his death! They assumed he was on the plane! Give me a break. -rolleyes- They never know where he's going at any time but he musta been on this flight. OK.

I actually laughed when they decided to do a memorial... But I guess with the fate of the other Montecito owners, they figured the worst. I mean, Ed Deline (fugitive on the run), Monica Mancuso (blown off the roof by a gust of win), Casey Manning (killed by a squid).

Ed was never the owner, was he? Just President of Operations and Head of Security I thought?

I believe he was the co-owner. It was during that time when his wife made the ultimatum of her or the casino. This is all IIRC, though.

Original Desmond 02-16-08 08:00 PM

not a bad finale

Deftones 02-18-08 09:17 PM

Well, I'm pretty sure this will get NBC to pony up for one more season. That ending sucked, though. They should've ended with the first episode, shot someone and Delinda going into labor.

Yeah, I preferred the 3,287 cliffhanger endings they had during last season's finale. This one was predictable and stupid (not in that order, though).

Snowmaker 02-19-08 09:20 AM

We never did find out if that one guy's arm at the bachelor party was in fact infected or not.

Guess that's another cliffhanger for next season. :(

movieking 02-19-08 01:53 PM

I now officially hate Cooper. He is just useless as a character.

TheMovieman 02-19-08 01:56 PM

^ While I don't hate the character, I do think he's useless. If next season is it for "Las Vegas" (meaning NBC announces it will be a la "Scrubs"), I hope they can get back Caan for an episode or two. It would be awfully strange for his character not to show up when his daughter's life is in danger... Murder warrant or not.

El Scorcho 02-19-08 02:34 PM

I love this show. It's campy and fun. I don't need to be mindfucked by every hour long drama like Lost.

movieking 02-21-08 11:41 AM

Ausiello at TVGuide is reporting that Las Vegas won't be coming back, so this was the last episode:

Looks like Las Vegas is cashing in its chips after five years on the air.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that NBC has opted not to renew the show for a sixth season. Consequently, last Friday's episode? Yep, that was the series finale. Hope it was satisfying!

NBC had hoped this season's cast shake-up — Thomas Magnum replacing Sonny Corleone — might re-energize the show, but instead, it led to a double-digit ratings decline. Of course, the Friday time slot didn't help.

boogieman03 02-21-08 11:43 AM

Fuuuuuuuuudge!
