The THREE'S COMPANY movie on NBC...

Overall this was completely crap. Priscilla Barnes was hardly mentioned - it was all about Joyce DeWitt for the most part. I mean they didn't even include the actors who played Lana or Larry in the story. It wasn't just the four actors on the show. Very weak and VERY one-sided.
If one thing is for certain, ABC was being run by a bunch of a-holes.

Lana (Ann Wedgeworth) was the 40-something woman (who lived in the building) who lusted after Jack. Furley lusted after Lana.

I hear that if this pulled good numbers NBC will soon air a TV movie/expose about actual fecal matter. It will be hosted by Carrot Top, David Hasselhoff, and that red headed add-on orphan from Different Strokes. This show is going to blow the pristine image of number two wide open. One of the mind blowing revelations will detail the reason that a turd stinks.....to SPITE YOU! Can you believe it? Poop shouldnt stink but it does, just to be a dickhead. Wow. Proud as a peacock.

One thing I don't get: why couldn't they have "Jack Tripper" have the same hair style as John Ritter did during this period of the show? Ritter never had his hair parted on the side. It was at first almost parted in the middle, then eventually made its way to being split right down the middle.
Otherwise, the guy sounded and acted just like John Ritter.

This was more a Suzanne Somers bashing movie than a Three's Company one. I am not saying that she doesn't deserved to be bashed, but they could have been a bit more honest about the title.
The actor that played Jack was terrific. He looked like him, and he sounded like him. As mentioned, Don Knotts was great as well...

Cindy Snow is the character played by Jenilee Harrison (the second blonde roommate, after Somers and before Pricilla Barnes).

Is it just me or was the film shot in the style of Boogie Nights - I maybe associating because of the time frame, but it really looked similar with the long panning shots.
It seemed at parts like they were trying to be sympathetic to Somers, but in the end not one bad thing said about DeWitt. Obviously.
Why did they mention Somers' kid and never show him? And wasn't she in Playboy around that time - was that not relevant?
Best thing about it was Don Knotts, the rest I'll forget next time I go to sleep.

They really screwed Norman Fell. So very typical of big business: Fell left the show to pursue his own series - The Ropers - but his contract entitled him to re-join Three's Company should The Ropers fail before the end of its first season. Apparently, while the show was terrible, they extended the show for another few episodes, therefore voiding Fell's contract.
So when Fell returned to the studio to ask when he can return to Three's Company, they said, Sorry, but blah-blah, and Don Knotts is doing such a fine job, etc. I was, like, oh what s*its! Don Knotts I got used to, but he just wound up adding to the non-stop silliness that the show became, while the Ropers did serious comedy (great one liners).
That's another thing, too, that I hated: at the start of the show, Chrissy Snow wasn't so dumb, and her hair was actually normal. As the show progressed, Somers' character got dumber and dumber, and her hair became ridiculous!! They made her a virtual clown (on purpose, who knows).
And Joyce DeWitt - she started the show with real acting abilities, then, at a point when her hair got straightened out, she seemed to be going through the motions.
Only John Ritter maintained the level of integrity throughout the series run. He started off good, and he stayed that way until the end.

I take that back. It should have been "Little did she know that Cindy Snow was her cousin."
Yes, Chrissy was pretty smart in the beginning. They upped the dumb factor later and really lightened her hair as well. It worked though.
The clothes are obviously aged but the jokes are still there. Very unique sitcom in that there were a ton of double entendres in akward situations played up for great laughs. It still makes me laugh.
