And the fact that u want to kill this ficitional character only gives the creators and writers props for writing it belivable.

Yea really, I love Peggy's character, BECAUSE she's annoying and full of herself. Sure it doesn't make her character likable, but more importantly it makes her *funny*. I'm sure everyone knows someone that's at least a little like Peggy, she's a parody of them. It wouldn't be any fun if she was just the female version of Hank.

I liked the show in its first few seasons but don't watch as often now and one of the reasons is Peggy is SO annoying. I just want to smack her sometimes. I mean, Dale is annoying too but in an amusing cartoony way that makes me want to watch and see what stupidity he does next. Peggy reminds me too much of annoying people in real life.

I can't stand Bobby or Peggy. Or Luanne for that matter.

All the other characters are pretty good. Hank and his three friends make the show, however. I wished every episode focused on them.

I think she's great. She's supposed to be annoying, so the writers must be doing a good job.

The funny thing is how much Peggy gets abused on the show. It's sadist the stuff they do to her. From getting tricked into posing for foot fetish videos to getting dropped out of an airplane and almost dying, and then the follwing season getting abused by Cotton in her rehab, or getting tricked into smuggling coke into a prison. I can see the writers sitting around and thinking "what the hell can we do to Peggy this week".

I just saw the foot fetish episode last night. I think it's great how much she tries to make everything she does look so great or important. The ending was hilarious with Bobby's "I'm fat, but I have a girlfriend, and I'm going to go shoot her with a watergun. What are you going to do?"

I watched the show for the first couple seasons or so until everything started to revolve around Bobby. I think all of the Hills are annoying in one way or another.

Knowing how things often work around here, I half-thought this would have (d)evolved into some weird MILF thread!

She's just one of the many irritating characters on King of the Hill, along with Louann and Boomhauer. I can't believe this show has lasted longer than Futurama.

I agree.. Peggy is darn annoying! But like others have said.. she is suppossed to be that way as a counter-point to Hank. Sometimes I just have to wonder where the writers come up with some of the concepts for this show. They can be ludicrous! I mean is a dog dancing competition really a thing done in Texas? My experience with Texans is limited, but the ones I have encountered were peculiar. Is KOTH an accurate portrayal of Texan life? So they really have these odd competitions and mannerisms? (I can't think of other examples from the show that strike me as strange at the moment, but I am sure others know what I am talking about and could probably elaborate).

That said.. I really enjoy the show.

Peggy is beyond annoying. She used to OK when it was more subtle, but it seems like the last couple of seasons they've played her quirks up way too much.

Peggy is great! If only because she is so damn annoying. Her arrogance and ignorance is hilarious. Still, she's not as annoying as Lisa Simpson.
