The actress that plays Larry David's wife looked so hot
. I mean, I always thought she was attractive on the show, but when she came up when they won I was amazed. She looked smokin' hot last night.

Jack Nicholson was so damn good in SCHMIDT.......even better than Daniel Day-Lewis in GANGS.
That U2 song is a piece of crap....the Eminem track should've won.
Julianne Moore was robbed for Far From Heaven...Kidman's was basically a supporting role in The Hours.

Is this the first Golden Globe nomination Richard Gere has ever received? If so, then that is probably why Richard Gere won the award.
This is not to say that he didn't deserve to win (I didn't see "Chicago," or any of the nominated films honored), but if it were a close tie between Nicolas Cage and Gere, since Cage likely won the GG for 1995's "Leaving Las Vegas," they figured let's give it to a revered star who's never been honored.
Let's face it, folks. Gere has been with us for 24 years - since 1978's "Looking For Mr. Goodbar," so he deserves some recognition.
