Well, since nobody is really competing against the Golden Globes, I'll watch. Simpsons and Alias are repeats, so why bother changing the channel?

I was actually watching when Joan Rivers was starting her segment and her mic did not work good. But I heard her entire opening "jokes". They cut away and she got her mic and asked if they were live. She then went and did her same routine over.

God...I can't believe how much those two women give me a headache. I am now watching Donnie Darko until the Globes actually come on NBC.

I agree. So far, two for Adaptation (best movie that I saw in quite a while), Shaloub, and Jennifer Aniston. And I got to see stars of two of my three favorite dramas (no one from Buffy though) present together, with Jennifer Garner from Alias, and Keifer Sutherland from 24.

I am also very pleased (and totally surprised) that their picks have been pretty much in line with what I would pick. It is great to see non network shows like The Shield, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Monk (although it did have some episodes appear on ABC) get the recognition that they deserve.
