I understand you Jack, but you seem too hung up on the Megatron issue, which I see more of a PC issue. We can't be marketing a toy that turns into an actual gun.
so market a toy that turns into a tank? I understand the issue at hand, but if they are re-releasing the toys as toys r us remakes (atleast over seas they did and I'm sure will do here aswell) then whats the problem with showing it as a cartoon?

it was good back then, why not now?

I have the TRU reissues (so far)... And would love to get all of the originals again... Can understand the PC thing (sorta) cuz he did look like a real gun (doesn't make me happy though).

But this is not about the originals.. And I didn't care for BeastWars... But I am really looking forward to giving this one a chance! Comic looks good, promos look good.

It may suck, but I will definately check it out!

The thing that makes me sad about it is that the comic book looks great. but the design of the comic and the cartoon look different.

is the guy narrating the comercial:
a)the guy that narrates the Witchblade commercials on tnt?
b)the guy who did the voice of the original Optimus Prime?

Jack - I apologize. You were correct.

It's 4PM, its not over yet, but I can't take it anymore. I'm surprised I stayed with it this long.

Crap, crap, crap....did I mention it was crap.
I have to go find Transformers Season 1 to get this horrid taste out of my mouth.

Word.

Why do people feel the need to resurrect old shows then piss on 'em like this? Is there truly that much of a lack of creativity nowadays?

First He-Man, now this. Thankfully, like clemente wrote, we have Season 1 on DVD.

Too much of the kids, and not sure about the Mini-bots yet...

BUT, the scenes with actual (older) Transformers I really enjoyed... Seeing Prime back to form was a real highlight!

This has a chance to be good, if they don't focus so much on the damn_kids...

Wow, I havn't seen it yet, as I'm at work, Maybe I should take some time to download it if I find it on kazzaa or something. but from what I heard (Andy called me right after the west coast feed) he stated that he was really unsure about it.

No changing sounds??!?!? what a shame.

I really would like to be wrong about my stance but I wish they would also just go with Generation 1 and just upgrade the looks to todays standards in animation.

oh Grimlock where art thou?

My brother and I watched the Transformers Armada premeire. What a HORROR. First off, there was the kids. Ugh. Then NO tranforming sound. What's with these stupid F@#$! reaction shots where the chracters GASP or HUH? or WHA? out loud, even Megatron let out a HUH? I lost count how many times they did that s^&t! I thought the new HeMan was trash, but Transformers makes it look like f!@#$%g Gone With the Wind. I loved the old show and the Movie. Why cant they make the new shows like that?!?!?! WHY? Why is it soooo hard? Also the animation was very cheap. It was like watching stills. The voices also sucked. The color of the robots looks bizarre. The whole show was utter crap.

Grade: F

(my metamorphisis into Comic Book Guy is now complete)

There were some changing sounds (not at all like the old school, though). Problem was they hardly transformed at all in this episode...

Still has my interest... I thought the Transformers that they showed were cool! Mostly updated of old guys.

BUT, they didn't show enough of them. There are a bunch of kids involved that is hurting this one. If the kids dominate, this will suck... otherwise it has a chance...

I didn't see the same show that 'KissyFurNYC' saw apparently (or don't expect)..

I was not expecting a remake of the old guys, but an improvement and adding to the original story. It has a chance, but 'the Kids' might put this one down, sadly.

My rating C+ (would be a C, except for the first scene with Optimus Prime, that rocked!)

This was horrible. After ten minutes i knew it was going to be worse than "robots in disguise."

Another japanese inspired piece of crap.

The minibots thing was done back in Gen2, and it didn't work well. Plus, the second you saw one of them you knew they were just trying to put a pokemon spin on it. I could just hear stereotypically dubbed voice in the back of my head "welcome to the super happy terrific fun pokemon transformers hour"

Low rent animation.. Much like original (But better)

No changing sound... Yes there was a sound for some (most), but not the same as the original (so what), bigger problem was lack of much changing...

Worth a second (and probably more) look for me... I hated the kids, but loved the Transformers....

Sorry some others didn't like it, but it has promise for me - as long as the kids aren't the feature. (big if)

Would rather have this than any other $hit that Cartoon net is showing, all other times...

Better than most new Toons IMHO...

ugh

I kind of liked the new He-man revival, as well, but this new transformers cartoon is a big, steaming piece of crap.

suck suck suck

What a let down!

It felt like those kids were sliding down that slab of rock for a bout a half-hour. The whole time they are both yelling "Uh! Uh! Uh! Uh!" over and over again. If you closed you eyes, it sounded like gay porn.

I liked the new He-Man.

I hated the new Transformers.

Why do they have to add in new HUMAN characters!?!?! No one watches the Transformers because of the human beings! A very crappy Pokemon look didn't help...

I accidentally missed this, but it looks like I'll have to download it to see what I missed... or didn't, from the comments here.

My thoughts exactly.

I may keep watching though.

I also like the toys quite a bit.

Ugh. I feel like taking the hard drive out of my Tivo and burning it just so there's no chance that a future generation could possibly be subjected to this show by my doing. That was TERRIBLE.

Peter Cullen is his name and he does voice overs for lots of things (even Knight Rider's K.I.T.T's nemesis "K.A.R.R.")

I was trying to tell if it was him in Armada actually but I couldn't tell.

man, what a damn shame. I saw the toys at target. they looked like total crap. looking at the pictures on the side of the box you would have some high hopes that the animation would also be transformed to the toy, but nope. they just suck

I agree, it was just horrible watching this series. At least we have the Gen1 DVDs.
