Not too sure exactly something about a new type of Transformer, other than Autobot or Decepticon.

I just think they are trying to make them a bit to detailed.. look at the Optimus prime picture.. thats a bit to much.

Now compare the two, I hate the beast wars crap, and I would have loved just the comic book design. classic and not to bulky.

No argument here the comic book designs own, but if this new series fails it'll be hasbros fault. On the bright side at least we get the re-issued toys.

Man, I just miss the classic design. and in the latest comic book versions, they would just rule as cartoons in that design..

Anyone know if they are gonna follow the comic book? It has been pretty good so far

Or are they gonna make Optimus Prime a lame damn_Firetruck again..

Assuming they follow the new toys, it has a chance...

He was a sweet gun in the TV show, but a reeaaalllly lame gun as the G1 toy...

PS: Where the hell does Optimus Prime's trailer go when he Transforms? (And don't say "Roller" takes it away.. I don't buy it )

Well, I've just set TiVo up, so I'll see what the first episode's like. It's supposed to be on for 1.5 hours, so hopefully it'll be good. Looks something like headmasters, but with more parts to attach.

it shrinks really small. kinda like how a small gun turns into such a huge robot (megatron)

the firetruck crap was lame. thank goodness it's gone. but man this looks almost as bad. they keep on trying to add more to it. I love the comics version of them, why can't they keep that?

I think it will be good. I like the new designs.

Breathing fresh air when you're around 20 years old = good thing

Wait, so does Megatron still turn into the gun?
To not do so would be cartoon heresey!

Much like my opinions on the new Master's of the Universe, I don't think redesigning a few things after 20 years is such a bad idea....well I did, till I saw the Megatron image, kidding, we'll see how it looks on Friday.

The one thing that does worry me is the voices, more than any other cartoon, I remember Transformer's fondly for how the characters sounded, and of course the transformation sound! That may be the biggest hurdle in warming to the new series.

they already tried the "breating fresh air" gimmick with transformers and it failed... God I hated those stupid beast wars crap.

the point is, they tried something new and different for a cartoon that is in it's 20's. it didn't work. Stick with what works. even the last little piece of ti where optimus was a firetruck looked bad. still had that bug look to it.

the problem is they are trying to put to much detail into it and make the transformation look more complex then it really should be. I like the Manga out version that the comics have shown us reccently. I would much rather have that then the new designs.

Megatron now turns into a tank. I think that sucks arse. lets see, it's not a tank vs. a Big rig truck...

then again a tank vs. a big gun never made much sense, but hey, I like the white design of Megatron. why the hell do they have to change him so much?

this is much more then breathing fresh air into it. it's taking a design and throwing it away to put in a new design.

turning megatron into a tank is like taking optimus and turning him into a Ryder Moving Van. it just shouldn't happen that way.

Considering the last "updated" version (Tranformers: Robots in disguise) was nothing more than a Pokemon rip off ::shudders::. I wont get my hopes up for this one.

Just so long as the spirit of the show remains the same I have no real complaints.

If it's anything like the "new transformers" show I saw about a year ago, it'll be barftacular. Just another pokemon ripoff, which is pretty sad to say the least.

If it's the original crew in a new cartoon that takes itself seriously instead of being a 30 minute toy commercial, then maybe it'll be worth watching. Guess we'll have to see.

the problem is not with the change from gun to tank, but the change from his looks. atleast in that tank model, he has the old megatron look only in camaflage colors instead of white. in the new design, it looks nothing like old megatron.
