SCORED!! Got season 2 and will do a Buffy Marathon on Thursday It works great... on the 15th of July I'll pick up the beginning of the third season on FX... question... the FX schedule ends in the middle of the fourth season... will they show all 6 before season 7 starts? When does it start? Do they have enough time? At least I can get 4.5 seasons at the minimum

Well, that's of course if you like seasons 4 thorough 6.

I think they get progressivly worse, with four being good tv, but bad Buffy, five being bad tv for the first half, and good/decent/great Buffy the second half. And six being just plain terrible except for a few episodes.

Ah, but now I don't have to. You did it for me . I really thought I was clear, but upon re-reading, it is a little convoluted. So, thank you .

One quick question here for those who've been following Buffy for the entire series. I just watched the second season DVD set and

(SPOILERS for the end of S2)
Spoiler:
Buffy stabbed Angel and sent him to Hell at the end of the season. Now, obviously, he's not dead and he didn't stay in Hell for very long because he and Cordelia have their own show.

So, the question is, how did he come back?

FX will only be showing Buffy through season 5. UPN is showing season 6 in reruns this summer (I think episode 7 - the musical - was shown last night on UPN).

another buffy question **spoiler**

I started watching Buffy at the end of Season 3, and have vowed to watch the episodes I haven't seen on DVD. So I'm working through the Season 2 set and just watched the episode "passion" last night. This is the episode in which
Spoiler:
Angel kills Jenny Calendar and leaves her body in Giles' apartment.

My question is, didn't Angel need to be invited into Giles' apartment, (as they kept on stressing in this very episode, that a vampire needs to be invited in but once invited in can keep on going in). When did Giles invite Angel into his place? I don't remember that happening and I've seen all of season 1 and season 2 up to "Passion." Did I miss something?

Once a vamp is invited into you house he can always enter without being invited. Just because something is not shown on the show doesn't mean it didn't happen. Days and sometimes weeks happen between episodes.

Thanks. Was there a specific episode, though, where Angel was invited into Giles' place? Anyone?

Angel burst in to Giles' apartment in "The Dark Age" to battle Eyghon, so he must have been invited in before that. I don't remember a specific point in the show where they mentioned it, though.

I don't recall the episode. Possibly in season one when Giles and Angel were working together on things...

I can recall a scene, but maybe I'm getting confused with the one in season three...

Anyways, it stands to reason even if we didn't see it on the show, he'd have been probably invited in at some point or another.

Other information (spoilers only on released DVDs in region one):

- If the house belongs to a demon, then no invite is needed. It only applies to humans.
- If the owners of the house are killed, then a vampire can get in the house.
- One of The Three was able to get his hand inside Buffy's house. This is one of the few mistakes the show has made that can not be refuited in any sensable way.
- Hotels or Motels don't count, as they are public places
- Apartment rooms, however, do. As they are like small homes in a building. A vampire can still stay in the hall though.
- Offices and the like, don't count either. Even if they are private, they're not a home.
- Only someone who lives in the home can invite a person in.
- Cordelia was under the impression he could get in her car because of the invite, but since the car isn't a home, it sounds unlikley a vampire would need an invite.

That was one of my favorite Cordy moments. That and
Spoiler:
when Buffy could read minds, and unlike normal people, Cordy would just say whatever popped into her brain.

Didn't want to read too much since I'm sure there are spoilers abound, but I've discovered this show on DVD and man am I hooked! Just finished the Valentine's Day episode from season 2. Only about 6 more episodes to go in that season.

I hate thinking I will have to wait for Season 3 for six months.

I never really had an opinion about this show, but I can see why it has received as much praise as it has.

Maybe the vampire is able to reach into a home, or poke his/her head in, but is only unable to "set foot" uninvited.

You're right. My bad. It does take place in the shop.
