Crank Yankers on Comedy Central

on Comedy Central starting June 2. This sounds like its gonna be pretty damn funny. Don't see the show lasting long though. This is a must try!!

Go to the part where it says crank call your friends. It actually works!

I'm really looking forward to this, anything with Adam Carolla attached is golden, for those who don't know its real prank calls acted out by puppets, sort of a Jerky Boys meets the Muppets

Crank Yankers 6/2/02

Did anyone watch this? For the most part, I'll keep my comments to myself. I only watched the first 15 minutes then turned it off. Wasn't my cup of tea.

It was slightly funny, but nothing to write home about. The concept looked better on paper than it actually worked in real life. I turned it off during the long Wu-Tang sequence at the end. I don't understand why that was even there...I was watching the show to see prank calls, not watch puppets do a rap number.

It was funny at moments, and that's it. I kept waiting for the Wu-Tang bit to be funny and/or entertaining, and it was neither.
The phone calls themselves are good, but the puppets add nothing to them. If anything, they are distracting. I have no idea how the prank-call thing could work on TV.

I laughed my ass of when the called the sex-hotline.

The rap skit at the end was worthless.

I thought the deaf phone sex call was hilarious. And I liked Sarah Silvermans nanny bit too "It’d be great if you had a hot tub because I really need to relax,... and I have excema"... I totally dont get the full scale rap number either. What the Hell?, I hope every episode doesnt end that way. The only thing worse than seeing Bon Jovi sing would be seeing a puppet Bon Jovi sing.

I agree the puppets dont do anything for me. But, at the same time, I cannot figure out how to do a prank call tv show, without it being costly and more cumbersome by setting up hidden cameras and such. I'll give future episodes a chance.

I loved the whole thing. I laughed so loud during the ending with Wu-Tang that I woke up my wife. They have some really good puppeteers on the show.

I liked the rap skit. It reminded me of Sesame Street ...just with hardcore rap instead of the ABC song.

Forget the rap skit, wasn't worth my time. The rest of the show was great! I'll certainly watch again.

I think they are are doing a weekly musical guest so get used to the puppet musical #s Tenacious D is coming up w/ Jack Black puppet penis exposed!

Mildly enterataining but it seems like a lot of hoopla and production just to air a few prank calls.

Probably one of the most offensive shows CC is going to be airing, while it lasts

I watched a few minutes of it then rewound my tape and watch the Cartman joins NAMBLA episode of South Park again. This show can't last. Even if they had some good ideas (they don't) they would run out before the end of the first season. I say bring back The Man Show.

I thought the phone calls acted out by the puppets was great. But the whole rap thing was just boring, probably because I don't like rap. I do like Tenacious D though, so next week should be all good.

Great concept for a show, but the calls were lame. They should hire the Jerky Boys. Might have to "bleep" out some stuff, but it would be worth it.

"Get Brett Weir I said!!!"

"Should I bring my f-ing tools?"
"Excuse me?"
"Should I bring my toolbox?"

I agree. Only a few of the bits were funny. With such a great cast(Dave Chapelle, Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Carolla, Sarah Silverman) I had high hopes. Looks like this will be the second show in one season featuring Sarah Silverman that will get canned.

I watched ten minutes of this show.

It was unfunny. It was not undull. I'm not raising my thumbs to this show. 2000 thumbs down. Sure, I have to borrow (or steal) some thumbs, but this show sucks and blows.
