Doubt any US folk will have seen this ad, but it was part of a series of ads for Carling Black Label Lager.

The ad starts with footage from the classic film The Dambusters recreating the 1943 RAF raid to destroy German dams via the Barnes Wallis bouncing Bomb. As the pilot drops his bomb it bounces on the water towards the dam. But a German spots the bomb and dashes out making a soccer type save. The plane goes round again and drops another bomb. With the German making an even more spectacular save. Several attempts and phenonmenal saves later. The RAF crew fly off muttering to each other that they bet the German drinks Carling Black Label.

The advert series being reknowned for claiming exagerated capabilities being bestowed on its drinkers.
