IMO, I would love to see an innovative episode that is entirely animated, maybe directed by Don Bluth who worked with Whedon on Titan A.E.

I heard there was an animated show already in the works - set in Buffy's high school years but with Dawn. I wonder how much seasons 1-4 changed retroactively with Dawn coming in?

If anyone cares, I got to meet Don Bluth at Dragon Con on Labor day weekend. He was a really nice gentleman. He competed in the first Iron Artist contest against Larry Elmore. They had 45 minutes to come up with something along the lines of a Rockwell painting in a cubist style.

Bluth (of course!), here's his drawing to the contest.

Click here for the rest of the photos from the Iron Artist competition.

Yes, far better to discuss why Scully looks thinner this season...

But seriously, back on topic..... Anyone think we need to start a new thread?..... Today would be ideal with Season 5 starting.

Oh, no, I didn't mean to imply that at all, but the contest was 45 minutes long, so I'll always favor the cartoonist in such a contest.

SOMEONE ELSE asked about that, mate, not me. If you have enough free time to go and read my other posts, you should take the free time that you have to read the whole thread.

G'day!

Am I the only one who really enjoys season 5? I couldn't wait for season 4 to end. I know alot of you complain about Glory but I find her "bad acting" to be very funny and much more developed then Adam.

I'm going to start a new FX Buffy thread (Season 5) because this one is getting long in the tooth.

I pretty much agree with you Timber. What some people see as "bad acting" I think was just the way the character was deliberately written. Some may like that and some may not. For the most part I thought Glory was a hoot. I liked the nearly season long story arc and found the season more consistent than the more choppy season 4 (although it must be said that all seasons of Buffy are terrific; some are just more terrific than others). I know there are inconsistencies (which have been discussed endlessly) but what program doesn't have them? I'm very much looking forward to seeing season 5 again.

I don't really care that much that they're not showing Dracula now. I didn't think it was that good anyway. I'll see it again when UPN shows it as I'm sure they will. But I'm much more psyched to see "Hush" again tomorrow.

movielib,

I disagree. When the season first started out, I thought Clare Kramer was really BAD at portraying Glory. She got much better as the season progressed, and actually started making the character more interesting and less.....hokey. IMHO.
