Will, and to a lesser extent Grace,
are the...no pun here "Straight guys"... and this leaves Karen(you dirty dirty you) and Jack(who's your daddy?) space to be outrageous. You can give WIll and Grace these semi-seroius stories while Karen and Jack fly circles around them taking shots.1. Karen and Jack get the killers lines and 2. The actors playing them are have awesome timing and they give "good delivery".

The writing has just been ridiculously sloppy and uneven since the creators left 4 years ago. There's a definite line that was drawn.
oh and in case anyone is interested...Grace is going to marry next week and she's also pregnant.

Spoiler:

I mean you could say Taye Diggs is on the show right now, but to throw out a blatant spoiler is just LAME.

Grace proposed last night to Taye.
And all the promos say there is a wedding and a baby.
Do the math.

Will I be spoiling anything if I say this was yet another horribly written episode? Matched only be the one where Will met the Taye Diggs character at the movie theater. Some of the worst writing I've ever seen on any sitcom.

Britney Spears will still be guest-starring on "Will & Grace" in the spring. But the stuff NBC said this week about her being Jack's new evangelical sidekick? Never mind.
The network has backed away from the plot details of Spears' episode, which is scheduled to air Thursday, April 13. That could be because the episode has yet to be written. The fact that the description of her character -- a chipper Christian who wants to add a cooking segment called "Cruci-fixin's" to Jack's (Sean Hayes) talk show -- outraged conservative activists might have had something to do with it too.
Following the Tuesday (Jan. 31) announcement of Spears' guest spot on "Will & Grace," which is ending its eight-season run in May, the American Family Association registered its distress at the episode, which it said "mocks the crucifixion of Christ." The group also noted that the episode was scheduled to air the day before Good Friday, when Jesus was crucified.
In the press release disclosing Spears' appearance -- which is no longer on NBC's media site -- the network described the episode like this: "[W]hen Out TV is bought by a Christian television network, Spears is brought on to be Jack's new religious co-host -- until Will (Eric McCormack) and Jack loosen her up. Spears brings her own additions to the talk show when she decides to do a cooking segment called 'Cruci-fixin's.'"
Friday, the network issued this statement: "Some erroneous information was mistakenly included in a press release describing an upcoming episode of 'Will & Grace,' which in fact has yet to be written. The reference to 'Cruci-fixin's' won't be in the show, and the storyline will not contain a Christian characterization at all. We value our viewers and sincerely regret if this information has offended them."
The news comes on the heels of the AFA and other groups taken credit for the early end to another NBC series, "The Book of Daniel," which they said was offensive to Christians. NBC says the decision to cancel the show, about an Episcopal priest (Aidan Quinn) with a gay son, a possibly alcoholic wife and a prescription-drug problem, was based on declining ratings.
The unaired episodes of "Daniel" are available as streaming video on NBC's web site.

They shoot their last episode next week.
And of course...i fucking missed last night's episode and completely forgot to record it. The fans are saying that it was a damn well written episode
To add to that, just because a parent is supportive doesn't mean that they don't wish their child weren't gay if only to make the child's life easier. That's how my parents feel and i can understand it...even if i don't agree with it.

WAG is one of my favorite shows, however the quality has definitely declined in the past few seasons. So far I find this season to be contrived and cliche for a show that is ending its run.
It's really disappointing.

I understand that but still, something was strange about how it all came out last night. Like the above poster mentioned, the whole thing seemed forced.

I agree that the arguement seemed kinda forced.

A miscarriage would be unnecessarily cruel, this close to the finale. Let Grace have the baby, since we won't have to watch the show start to continue to go downhill after she does, like we did with Mad About You.
I defiintely agree that the argument seemed forced, but it wasn't completely out of nowhere. There was an episode back in Season 2 where Will found out that his dad had told people he worked with that Will and Grace were married, because he didn't want them to judge his son for being gay, or something like that. This seemed like an extension of that storyline.
BTW, no one's mentioned the Jack/Karen subplot, but I really liked it, particularly toward the end. I love when Megan Mullally gets to show her character's rarely-seen compassion. She always does it beautifully.

Oh my gawd. You guys need to "man up".
Grace doesn't need that kid. She's the most fucked up character on the show. Anyway, I do remember the "Dad didn't tell them I'm gay" storyline and that theory makes sense. But I still don't think they had that in mind. But who knows.

If this series ends with Will and Jack together as a couple I will be so pissed.
They're running out of time to find Will the boyfriend that's been promised for 8 years.
I thought Taye Diggs might have been "the One" but that ended so anticlimactic considering the build-up of that relationship.
Bring back Patrick Dempsey as "Matt" the sports guy. I doubt Patrick would be on Grey's Anatomy now if he hadn't had done those 2 episodes of W&G. It kinda re-invented his career.
