I'm a bit indifferent about this live stuff. It felt more like a local play than a tv sitcom.

I just like the live episodes for when the cast crack each other up, and break character. I loved the slapstick stuff at the end.

Oh well. Guess I'll be keeping my original DVD recordings then.

Yet Another Will & Grace Special Guest Star

How many times can one show jump the shark? They keep sinking to lower and lower depths with these guest stars. I think that they have backed off of it recently though.

I'll spoiler for the complainers out there:

Spoiler:
Britney Spears will guest star on an episode of "Will & Grace," NBC announced Tuesday. The pop star will appear as a Christian conservative sidekick to
Sean Hayes' character, Jack, who hosts his own talk show, on the April 13 episode, the network said.

Jack's fictional network, Out TV, is bought by a Christian TV network, leading to Spears contributing a cooking segment called "Cruci-fixin's."

As a young girl, the 24-year-old Spears was a regular on "The Mickey Mouse Club." After becoming a pop singer, she starred in the critically panned 2002 film "Crossroads."

Last September, Spears gave birth to her first child, son Sean Preston, with husband Kevin Federline.

And it was funnier the first time when it was a throwaway line from Arrested Development.

Aha! The proof is in the pudding. The show everyone should be watching instead.

It was also on an episode of the Simpsons prior to Arrested Development.

Enh. Tried watching it once. Didn't find it funny.

Was going to post about this when I found out about it yesterday.

Whatever.

It kills me much this show has gone downhill. Seasons 1-4 were practically perfect.

If they want me to watch, they're going to have to pull off multiple guest stars and both 3D and live segments, all within a single episode.

Friends and The Simpsons had a lot of guest stars in their latter seasons as well. Relying on guest stars is pretty lame IMO. Even when AD did it with Charlize Theron. The show improved once she was out of the picture.

Lucille Bluth will kick Karen Walker's ass any day

Will and Grace didn't do it in just "later" seasons. They had been doing it most of the run. It just got worse from season 4 to the end.

I don't see what the problem is. If you don't like the show or the guest star, then don't watch it.

I'd vote for another guest appearance by Cher. She and Jack are always hilarious together.

I still think the show is great but that's just me. But I will admit that if it weren't for Karen Walker and to a lesser degree Jack the show wouldn't have lasted this long because Will and to a lesser degree Grace just aren't that funny.

Completely disagree. J&K are probably the biggest change to the show. I never jumped on that bandwagon. Unfortunately, they made W&G more like J&K which is what killed the show, IMHO.

Ditto. Jack and Karen keep the show alive, not Will and Grace.

I agree, everytime the show switches over to a Will or Grace story - I feel the show comes to a screeching halt.

Completely disagree.

When Grace was pregnant and not a part of the show as much, it felt like there was a huge gaping hole left in it.

I never got this "general public" concensus. That's what screwed up the show in the first place. J&K got a lot of attention and the writers started making it half W&G/half J&K. It's not CALLED J&K. The whole point is that they're supposed to be sidekicks and NOT the main characters. If they were the whole show, it would be vapid and pointless.

But maybe, like so many other "gay" media events, it's all about who you can relate to.

I've given up on this a long time ago, but agree with the majority that Karen for me and then Jack were the reason I tuned it.

Will and Grace could have run off, well esp grace, and that's sad cos she was really well used on Ned and Stacey.

I watched this one after having given up on the show a couple of seasons ago. I am surprised it is still on the air, to be honest. The only real enjoyment I got was when a character would do something and I would remember something they did in the early seasons that made me laugh.
