He must have got about 1/2 million for Stay Alive the other thing in 2006 for them to come up with the 3 million total figure

Salary (Agent Cody Banks 2) $5,000,000

Salary (Agent Cody Banks) $2,000,000

(says 40 million)
I can't believe he got paid more for Agent Cody Banks 2 than he did for Agent Cody Banks

I remember him having a pretty big collection of cars. And, yeah, that tweet actually was funny. The guy he was respoonding to, on the other hand, sounds like a douchebag. No offense, Rob V.

Sure he may own $40 million in the bank, is he really WORTH $40 million?

I saw a couple of interviews of Muniz, seems like a decent guy.

He must make hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions, per year off of Malcolm syndication money.

I know he was the titular character on the show, but I don't know how much residuals go to cast. I believe the Seinfeld people (minus Jerry, of course) make relatively small off of syndication. They might have signed a bad contract, but in a 1999 interview, Jason said he'd made less than 200K in the 4 or so years it'd been in syndication

None taken.

Have any of you actually heard his 911 call as his gf is destroying his house? I think you'll change your tune and call him out as the total db he is. He kept whining to the operator that she's destroying his house but she's the love of his life and he doesn't want the cops to come, he just wants them to talk her down over the phone. He's treating the operator like she's a shrink with solutions to his life problems. Idiot.

Oh, he also says "I don't want any trouble because I'm a celebrity". No, you WERE a celebrity. You're now a 5'2" turd that gets beat up by his 5'3" (extremely cute) girlfriend. This pub (while reminding us of your half-assed legacy) is also destroying any chance you have of getting future work. Hope you saved some of that $40M, Frank.

Didn't he get a good bit out of Malcolm being syndication as well?

If I remember correctly, residuals are usually declining. So an actor might make ten grand the first time it airs in syndication, but the second time it airs they get five grand and so on. With shows like Seinfeld, which rerun non-stop, it would probably quickly reduce to a pittance per showing.

Re: Malcolm in the Middle Actress problems?

Seinfeld made more from his series in syndication than he made in salary while it was originally airing. Residuals decline because fewer episodes are played and fewer DVDs sold, not because the actors gradually lose their percentages.

I hope this guy, and all other actors, was wise with his money and doesn't have a bad end (either financially, or due to his keeping a loaded gun in the house).

Seinfeld made a ton because he was co-creator and producer.

Residuals definitely decline. A friend had one line in a medium budget movie. The first time it aired on TNT he got a huge check. The last time he showed me one it was for a little over $6.

I'm sure networks aren't paying the same rate for Seinfeld reruns in 2010 as they were in 1998.

Re: Malcolm in the Middle Actress problems?

Although it makes sense for residuals to decline over the years, there was an article recently saying that Seinfeld has generated $2 billion since it has been off the air. So that's a huge chunk of change for the key people involved.

I just think it's funny that a nine-year old thread about Jane Kaczmarek's health got bumped for this sad story about Frankie Muniz instead of just starting a new one.

I miss the show so much but sadly it'll never get a digital or physical media release due to the music rights. That picture makes me kind of sad.

If you're region free the complete series is on DVD in England. I got it on Amazon Uk last year

This show was overlooked and underrated for how good it was when it aired. Hal was one of the great TV dads of all time...though no surprise I suppose now that we all have seen what Bryan Cranston can do.

His finest moment (among many) on the show was where he was part of that singing group with the elaborate choreography. Members of the group kept quitting for various reasons, so on show night he still did the performance, but it was only him, which looked totally ridiculous without the other members.

One of my favorite episodes ever was when Hal teached Malcolm how to skate. It was so funny and so ridiculous.
