Someone finally got a Kodi add-on for Peacock up and running, but it's got a weird name "Skyott" since it also works with the Sky service in the UK. Works well and does not play commercials on the ad tier.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service
Just do a Google search for what you want to do with it. Disney Plus was the first thing I wanted to use with it so I just Googled "Kodi Disney" and got step-by-step directions. I'm not a computer genius by any means so if I can do it anyone can. It takes a bit of trial and error but it's worth it just to watch everything without the interface intruding on any part of what I'm watching. I had been searching "Kodi Peacock" for a while, it took a long time for someone to come up with an addon for that but they finally have. Peacock's native interface is one of the worst since it actually cuts off the end credits and plays something else unless you stop it in time- I had watched Halloween Kills on it knowing they were going to do that, and it still ruined the ending how the timer appeared even before the first credit hit the screen.

I guess I need to sign up for this because free Peacock is ending for Xfinity customers on June 26th. Can't miss the new season of Love Island.

I actually signed up for the $19.99 deal. Had access through someone who had Xfinity deal that is now gone. For that price, a year is NBD.

Yeah, I can't get this deal through my current free Xfinity account. I think you have to create a new account with a different email address.
I think I'm going to wait until my subscription from Xfinity runs out because there's another $20/year out there that expires July 8th. So I'll probably create a new account after this one runs out if I can.
Also, if you have a Chase card they have a $3 off of Peacock offer through the end of the month.

Just got this in an email:
Nice to hear, since I wasn't going to subscribe when the free period ended.

I got a similar email to the above, except that it says I'll get Peacock Premium free for at least two more years (until June 2025) if I keep their gig-Internet plan.

I have had Peacock for free for a couple years with xfinity, but now they're cutting me off on the 26th. Oh well!

I don't understand how they are so disparate in their offerings for the same xfinity service. Or is it only free at a certain tier or something?

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service
They offered me the $2.99 deal. Peacock has become one of my most used streaming services and it's cheap, so I'll keep it. Nice of them to offer that retention rate, but I will just make a new account and use the $20 code.
In case I don't get to it in time before SUMMEROFPEACOCK expires, what's the other code that was referred to?

It appears that if you have cable and internet bundled from Xfinity you get to continue receiving free Peacock. I got the email about being cut off but haven't received the reversal email because I have internet, which I do.

Xfinity sent me an email yesterday informing me that I no longer receive free Premium Peacock. As of right now it's still working.

If anyone is looking to save some money. I have a promo code for 6 months for $12. But, this is the plan with ads that normally runs $4.99 per month. Got it from buying a movie ticket on Fandango

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service
Played episode 10 of Poker Face. Episode 8 of Based On True Story.
At the beginning of the two tv episodes there was message at bottom of screen with a yellow DISMISS button. "You already have Peacock Premium but...." below that was to tiny and too fast to read. All I could make out was "at the end of the episode". I'll watch first episode of Based On True Story tonight and see what happens at end, if I'm prompted to subscribe or something.
I have Extreme Pro Internet which is 1Gbps. I should continue getting Peacock free for two more years. Doesn't explain the email telling me I'm getting cut off.
However, while back I got email about upgrading equipment to enjoy faster internet. No complaints so I blew it off. It's possible I need to switch out modem because the one I have is only 900Mbps. Still, I have the plan and am paying for it. I shouldn't lose Peacock.
Watched first episode and the next started automaticly. Nothng's changed.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service
My 1 year, Ad-free Peacock subscription expires next week. I paid $99 for it. I'm thinking about trying to save a little money and use one of those Fandango 6 month for $12 codes that I have been getting and apparently have ads.
How is the commercial load for that plan? Is it a couple of ad breaks for shows and how are the ad breaks for movies?

Movies have commercials up front and then the movie itself plays without them. The Kodi addon does not play the commercials in any case, or if you have an ipad you can use an adblocker (only one I found works, forget the name of it) and then use Airplay to cast to a supported device on the TV.
