Peacock now has user profiles.

This might be due to the new profiles. You can set a profile to "Kids".

Yup I noticed the new user profile when I set up Peacock on my new Apple TV. I used Dom from Fast and Furious

Thanks! I did that and see all the Kids content there without any problem. I still wonder why they took the tab out from the adult profile. Doesn’t make any sense.
As for my adult profile, I picked ET and for my son I put Curious George

It took a year and a half but finally I can get the Peacock app on my Samsung Smart TV. Now I think I have all the major apps on my TV.
If I want to watch old school WWF I hope I don't have to pay extra.

I have the FREE version. So far, I have to watch a couple of original show. So far, I have no intention of signing up for the paid version. I still get cable TV.

Outside of Netflix I don;t see the value for paying a monthly fee for these services
If you like a show wait until it is finished and maybe if there is a free trial or get it for one month and then cancel.

Last weekend, three SF Giants games were exclusively on Peacock. I had no intention of ever signing up for Peacock, but I eventually caved to watch the games. Fortunately, it was the free version.
MLB has been doing more exclusive games on streaming platforms lately (YouTube, Peacock)

Took long enough. But with the Olympics starting, they had to come to some agreement.

Anyone use Xfinity's Flex streaming box? I qualify for a free one since I get my internet through them and that includes a subscription to the base paid tier. I've heard the device kinda sucks, but I'd only ever use it for Peacock. I really enjoyed the Girls5eva pilot and only the first three episodes are free. Plus - while I've done zero research on the matter - I could see NBC locking at least some Olympics coverage behind a paywall in order to drive subs to the service.

As my first year of Peacock Premium (with ads) expired, I looked to see if I wanted to keep it going. Was pleasantly surprised to see that with Cox internet, I get that same level of membership for free. After 15 years of getting screwed by Cox, something good. Cool.

I ended up getting the Flex device. It wasn't truly "free" - there was a $15 delivery/self install fee - but I figure over time it'll be worth it given the included premium Peacock subscription. I hooked it up, went to Peacock, and it upgraded my account. And that's the last I'll ever use it. Didn't fuss with any other apps. Roku and the individual streamers already have the nitty gritty of my viewing habits. No need to add Comcast to the mix. The premium Peacock works on any device.
The news about the exclusivity of Universal movies starting next year is just gravy. (Not mentioned in that short tweet is that Universal is also going to start making movies that go directly to Peacock.)

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service
I get Peacock Premium free since I'm a Comcast/xFinity cable subscriber. It's the plan with commercials though, not the commercial-free plan.
I've only watched some Columbo episodes on Peacock, I think -- and yes, there were definitely commercial breaks in the episodes.
Does anyone know if the movies on Peacock are also interrupted by commercials? I'm especially wondering about the new Universal movies coming in 2022, but also any existing movies already on Peacock. Thanks!

Redeemed 6 months of Peacock Premium with my internet provider. The selection seems... not great.
And we watched Paddington last night and still had to sit through ads. What? I thought that would be removed for Premium, but nope.
So... what's worth watching on here before I cancel this?

Doctor Death is new
Yellowstone - Unless you already watch it on Paramount network
Girls5Eva has gotten stellar reviews
Resident Alien is hilarious and will come back for another season
The original shows is light and the majority of the TV is catalog titles. I don't know what you like and what doesn't interest you.

^ yeah, now I see it in my account settings. It says Peacock Premium, and then there's an add-on for "ad-free." Didn't realize that was a thing, but I didn't exactly look into it.
Thanks for the recommendations. I'll check those out and go from there. To be fair, not much interests me in TV these days... I just prefer to get into a show that doesn't have a ton of seasons to get through.
The movie selection seems pretty limited overall. And it's weird that something like Paddington is there, but not Paddington 2. Oh well.
