Yep. It was in a list of stuff I noticed and posted here right after the launch. Very annoying that to correct it, we have to close the app and relaunch.

Yup happened to me as well. Weird glitch. They should not have completely overhauled the app. All they had to do was re-brand it.

I've had the same thing happen to me. It is annoying.

Re: Max — Warner Bros. Discovery streaming service

Never had the scrolling issue in the former app so that was new to me.

Also was able to see what was SD with lack of icon, HD icon, 5.1 Icon, 4K icon, Dolby Vision Icon, Dolby Atmos Icon. Now there is only 4K, DV, and DA. Meaning a title could be SD or HD, 1.0, 2.0, 5.1, etc and wont know till watching. I think that is all to push the hey we have 4K etc if you pay for top tier.

I haven't tested the Dolby Vision on every trailer since launch. But that was an annoying unnecessary change.

I would have loved to mess with here on the Re-Animator movie set.

After the latest Max app update it logged me out on roku, and the login screen doesn't give you the option to login. Really not sure why the app is buggy now and not when it switched to Max a few weeks ago.

Must be same as the old HBO and HBO max apps. If logged out, only way to login again is to attempt to start a TV show or movie. Then it asks for you to login. Odd yet that's how they programmed the older apps.

Re: Max — Warner Bros. Discovery streaming service

So ATT sent me a text when the change to Max happened that my unlimited elite line would still have Max included. Whew. But today I'm reading that the price per line is going to go up 2.50 only for this grandfathered plan (the current equivalent is basically going to be cheaper and have more hotspot data, so this is definitely to subsidize the "free" Max because that's the only benefit). Luckily, you only need one of these grandfathered lines to have a Max account so I guess I'll change my other lines over but the ride is probably ending soon.

When I went to open the app today, it had me re-login. I don't use a Roku and it wasn't a problem getting back on.

Re: Max — Warner Bros. Discovery streaming service

That's actually old news, Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast got dropped back on May 23, when the service switched from HBO Max to just Max:
https://collider.com/space-ghost-coa...t-removed-max/

I recall I saw someone complaining that they were in the middle of binging it when it was suddenly gone. That might've been on another site though,

It maybe speaks to how often it was being watched if some people just noticed now.

So you might see Westworld or The Nevers make a comeback on of all places Netflix Insecure looks like it will be the first HBO to be licensed out according to this write up.

Half off for two months, and the deal expires tonight.

Check your American Express card offers. I have the following on mine: "Spend $99 of more, get $25 back, MAX - Annual Subscription, Expires 10/17/2023"

Thanks. I have that credit available on my AMEX. But, my legacy account doesn't expire until September, so I still have a few months.

I'm just wondering if it's worth it to renew for $149 or go up to $199 with 4K.

Can someone explain to me how Superfriends was removed on the MAX app but it still available on MAX on Amazon? Why would they have some content in one version and not in the other?

Probably just some weirdly worded contractual thing with that app , maybe they can only remove things at the end of the month or licensed it to a specific date for add on services already. For example if you have Shudder there might be 3-4 movies at a given time that are not part of your package if you order it through an amazon, apple, roku or youtube add on.

I think they just forget to remove stuff sometimes. There's some shows on Amazon BritBox that aren't available on the regular BritBox service.

Re: Max — Warner Bros. Discovery streaming service

Holy shit, just noticed that they pulled the first 8 seasons of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver off of Max! They now only have the last 2 (but really 1.5 because of the strike) seasons. That’s like one of their jewels and they yanked it just to avoid paying residuals.
