I was only a casual viewer of Friends, but might check out the reunion show.

That looks like an epic reunion. I am really looking forward to it.

Which one? Le Blanc has put on some weight, but Perry looks like he's hit rock bottom (addiction issues again?). There's a People video out there with the cast and Perry's speech is slurred and he appears hungover (if not intoxicated).

Either the HBO MAX app is being glitchy or they have removed some of the 4K DV / Atmos stuff and downgraded it to HD 5.1. ZS's JL is now in HD and 5.1.

Yup, same thing happened to me. What little 4K content they had all downgraded to regular HD. It's affected on my Roku Ultra and my Apple TV 4K

I have the Apple TV 4K, too. What a buzzkill. The new ATV4K should be here by Tuesday and my UK ZS JL set should be here in a week or two. Hopefully HBO MAX brings back 4K DV / Atmos programming.

I normally don't email companies but may have to now.

I tweeted them and they said reset your router, device and check for app updates to see if that works.

Obviously they have no idea of any app issues.

Re: HBO Max — Warnermedia streaming service

I just reset my my smart TV earlier today (the HBO Max app sometimes gets hung up), and it is still listed in HD so clearly there is an issue, not that I was planning on watching it today. FWIW, the two remaining theatrical movies are also only showing up in HD.

re: Max — Warner Bros. Discovery streaming service

I’m getting a lot of buffering and low picture quality tonight. Maybe they are having some sort of server issues and took away high quality versions.

I’ve been getting that for a while now. My wife and I have been binging Happy Endings, and the first 10 seconds or so of every episode is super blurry. I figured it was a decision they made between delaying the start by a second or two vs starting it faster but with some initial blurring.
That’s just my speculation; I don’t really know how any of this works.

Re: HBO Max — Warnermedia streaming service

I went into the app yesterday and my queue(My List) was gone. After searching for it, I thought they changed the app and moved on. Then like 10min later it was back where it normally was. Maybe it just didn't load initially? weird.

FWIW, the movies like JL, WW, and some others are still showing up as 4K/Dolby Atmos/Vision on my TCL TV. Not sure if it’s related to the outage or not.

Re: HBO Max — Warnermedia streaming service

Atmos is finally working through Airplay now- it was only getting Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 before. I was almost going to get a new Chromecast to fix this (since the native Roku app throws up crap on the screen during the last seconds of movies if they have any extras- It doesn't do that on Chromecast and on my years-old model that only does 1080 it was getting Atmos through that).

Friends Reunion dropped. Fans of the show should enjoy it a lot. They also have a few short extras.

It's under 2 hours. They show a lot of outtakes/bloopers. Kaufman, Crane and Bright appear as talking heads throughout. The cast tour different sets of the show. Special appearance by the beam that was removed since it got in the way. Special guests show up.

Snyder Cut is back in 4K DV, but no Atmos, just standard 5.1.
