Season 3 was a boring confusing mess. They really got far away from what made the show cool and interesting. I am not aware of anyone who liked it much.
Season 4 was a lot better and even cool in spots. Then it really shit the bed in the final two episodes. So much so that I didn't mind its cancelation. Still the season is worth watching. |

Roku and Tubi will be the free streaming homes for Westworld, Raised by Wolves, The Nevers and other Warner Bros. Discovery content that was recently removed from HBO Max, as part of a co-exclusive deal that all told includes “hundreds” of TV series and movies from the WBD portfolio. As reported in December, WBD’s plan was to shop the series it had removed from its own subscription streaming service (as part of an expansive and seismic cost-cutting move) and shop them to FAST (free, ad-supported streaming TV) services. Warner Bros. Discovery’s co-exclusive deals with Roku and Tubi include all seasons of Westworld, Raised by Wolves, The Nevers, The Time Traveler’s Wife, Finding Magic Mike, Head of the Class, Legendary and F-Boy Island, many of which were abruptly disappeared from HBO Max late last year. TVLine has confirmed that both deals include all 12 episodes of The Nevers, including the final six that have never aired/been seen. All told, both FAST services will offer up “hundreds of TV series and movies” from the WBD portfolio’s other brands, such as Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network and TLC. That includes the likes of Cake Boss, My Cat from Hell, Breaking Amish, Caribbean Life, How It’s Made, Paranormal Lockdown, The Tomorrow People (I’ve heard of that one!) and My Five Wives, plus select seasons of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise. Tubi says it will begin them rolling out its WBD content “as early as February 1 and throughout the month,” while Roku is simply saying “Spring 2023.” |

If you use Kodi, you can watch Tubi and Crackle with no commercials. They don’t have 5.1 audio though so wish these shows just stayed on HBOMax.

After 15+ years of asking her on and off if we can get HBO, my wife now wants HBO to watch The Last of Us. Okay. I'll take it how I can get it.
Any good deals out there for no-ads version? We have Amazon Prime, Hulu, Roku, Paramount+, Netflix, Disney+, if any of those are part of how to get a deal. Seems like the way to go is directly at $150/year. |

Even Disney+ has dry periods without new Marvel or Star Wars content, and Paramount+ hasn't had new Trek for a couple of months. It's sort of a waste to subscribe to a half a dozen streaming services all year long when the good content is spread out so far. Outside of Disney+ (Marvel, Star Wars) and Paramount+ (Star Trek), I find that the other streaming services don't really offer a lot of worthwhile year-round content that interests me. The others only have maybe three "must watch" series per year, if even that. |

If you only watch streaming services for big IP genre TV content, of course you’re not going to have enough coming out year round. HBO has so much that comes out every month. Movies that you may have missed and other dramas, documentaries and more. $12 plus per month for the year price, which nowadays is one fast food meal and cheaper than most 4K discs is more than worth it to have that kind of library at your fingertips.
I know not everyone is interested in the same thing, but IMO Paramount plus is more than just a Star Trek streaming service. But in the end it’s up to you and the time you have and if you can spare than $150 for your entertainment budget. |

When it comes to streaming, my interest is nearly all for original content. I don't have a lot of interest in bingeing Friends reruns or old movies.

I mean you try convincing my kids that they can live without access to Bluey any month of the year.
My intention when Disney+ came out was to cancel Netflix and only sub like twice a year, and my kids torpedoed that too. But yeah if it were just me, I'd just rotate services. |

I use JustWatch on a daily basis. Helps me keep track of new episodes in my watch list you can set up for movies and shows.

Like oftentimes the service itself doesn't do a good job of advertising what they got besides the really big titles. Amazon Prime in particular gets a boatload of changes every other day that you would never know if you don't check JustWatch. |

I was watching "Sex Before the Internet" on Vice and did not know Real Sex is not available on HBO on Demand on Directv or on HBO Max.
