my plan is unlimited. As I said no other streaming service has an issue with it, so ots not internet issues.

also does it always take so long for the ap to load?

I've watched probably 40 hours of Disney+ content so far and had none of the issues you mentioned. It runs great and loads quick on my roku.

Since you're located in Australia, your streaming experience is probably different from posters in North America.

I think a lot of times when people are having problems streaming, it's not the service but the device that causes the problems. Smart TV apps are notoriously buggy. I'm not familiar with the Foxtel Now Box, but it sounds like it uses Android apps. Maybe you can try it on a Roku device or a game console?

When I watch on my iPad (Air 2), it will randomly jump back 10 seconds once or twice when I first start watching.

I watch Disney+ on my LG TV and Roku (via Comcast cable) and on my iPhone via my Unlimited Verizon plan and have had no issues with any.

Has anybody else who did the 3-year deal had any issues with your account? My son said he got an on-screen notice that said our subscription was about to expire. I haven’t seen it ...

I did have my account get all bent out of shape that my credit card is expiring and to update it. My current card will expire before the three months is out, so I'll have to do that again.

I have to say, we have been nothing but delighted with Disney+. We signed up for the 3 year plan, and in addition to my wife and me, we added my sister-in-law and my son’s family in Texas to the profiles. My son is reliving the 90s X-Men series with my 7 year old grandson, they’re watching the old Disney Classics, I am digging the 4K content and the documentaries and my wife and I both stream D+ during our lunch breaks at work. She’s actually working her way through Clone Wars.

No, the only issue I've had is Disney updating my 3-year expiration date to 2023 (instead of 2022), as I've gotten the free year from Verizon. They keep "assuring" me that it will run until 2023, but my account keeps showing 2022. I've mentioned it earlier in this thread. Worst comes to worse, I'm not going to worry about it. Unless Disney really jacks up their rate by 2022.

So I wonder how much this affects media sales.

Disney 4k steelbooks are not only on sale, but b2g1f at best buy right now. I considered picking some up as gifts, but every single one of these are available on 4k on Disney Plus, so even at that price I'm thinking twice. I know, I know, ownership and all that but as a gift it's still pretty useless while they have a sub.

They've probably weighed all that out, would each of those 10 million subscribers have bought $70 worth of DVD/Blu-ray/VOD a year?

Re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch

Well, it looks like they're releasing the trilogy Star Wars films in 4K in March and I have to tell you, I don't think I'll be getting them since they're all on 4K (or will be) on Disney+

There would have to be some very exclusive bonus content for me to change my mind.

They’ve been in 4K since the day Disney+ launched. Doesn’t matter to me, I still want these on disc.

Re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch

Wasn’t sure where to put this question. I signed up for Disney+ with the D23 deal for the 3yrs. I just switched to Verizon and now have a free year. Will this mess with my current sub or extend it a year? Can I give it away to family?

thanks

Not in the U.S. Guess it's region specific for Canada for now.

The Wolverine is there too. I guess Logan is the only one not there for obvious reason.

Im not sure who has the streaming rights in the US but it should be coming soon.

Play the long game — think about the vault. Release everything you can on the service for a while to get a new generation hooked. Take it off the service, offer the physical media for sale before “putting it back in the vault.”

Yeah for the first quarter of 2020, I think we’re going to see mostly catalog content.

I thought the final season of The Clone Wars was supposed to premiere in January.

Pretty much need to be the original cuts for me to bite, and at that I'd only do Star Wars and Empire.

If experience is any guide, I'd say the free year won't extend your sub, but it won't mess it up, either. Just my guess though and not based on ANY FACTUAL KNOWLEDGE. Try to give it to someone.
