I have Fire Stick and Roku and prefer the Fire Stick interface. Disney+ will be on there soon.

I had the original FireStick and never used it because it was so slow. Always used my Roku Stick. I upgraded to the FireStick 4K recently and now only use the Roku for Vudu. I like the FireStick 4K because it plays DD5.1 on Hulu and the remote allows me to control the volume on my AVR. The Roku does neither of those things (Roku Stick+ only controls volume on the TV, which I don't use).

Also, the Alexa search works pretty well and it allows me to control my Wifi lights from the remote.

I'm a Harmony remote guy so I don't use the Fire TV remote, but I do know that people bought the fire stick just for the remote to use with the Shield TV, so it's doing something right.

Disney+ is Coming to The Fire TV After Disney & Amazon Reach a New Deal Will Also Be Added to LG & Samsung TVs
https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/disney-is-coming-to-the-fire-tv-after-disney-amazon-reach-a-new-deal/

Today during Disney’s earnings call it was announced that Disney+ will be coming to the Amazon Fire TV. At first, it was reported that Disney and Amazon had been fighting over advertising deals preventing Dinsey+ from being added to the Fire TV. Now Disney and Amazon have officially announced that Disney+ will be coming to the Amazon Fire TV.

Amazon says Disney+ will be available on Fire TV streaming devices, Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and compatible Fire Tablets starting on Tuesday, November 12th, 2019. Amazon did add that Disney+ content will be included in the Fire TV universal search.

Update: Disney+ is also coming to Samsung and LG Smart TVs.

Disney + is coming the UK and Western Europe on March 31st

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/toljRz6tIkQ" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Now who really in Europe is going to be able to avoid spoilers for over 4 months before watching The Mandalorian? I'm not judging or assuming it's going to be pirated, but the likelihood is very high, especially with the 4 month wait.

Nice, I just got the Firestick to utilize Hulu Live and I love it. My old generation Apple TV didn’t have Hulu Live and not sure about Disney+

6AM my time, so if I get up early I can try it out before work and either not be able to wait to get back home to watch more or be pissed all day at how much it sucks.

A couple days away and no app anywhere; seems odd.

I find it a bit odd too. I mean it’s got to be ready by now. You’d think they’d want to have it ready for people to have downloaded already. Not sure the point of waiting until the last minute.

Maybe they'll pull a U2 and the app will just show up on everyone's devices Tuesday AM.

I don’t see the difference. It’s not like we can do anything with it now.

But you won't have everyone trying to download it at one time, possibly crashing the system. Everyone can get it downloaded, ready to go and have any problems ironed out.

I'm off from work on Tuesday, so I anticipate spending a nice chunk of my day watching The Mandalorian and then being overwhelmed with all the other shows and movies on there.

That’s my line of thinking too. Probably going to be a lot of people trying to download at one time. Might create some hiccups on launch day. Could have allowed people to download as they subscribe just so they have it and can sign in day of launch. Ultimately it’s whatever I guess because it’s close now anyways. They could have put some preview content up or whatever if nothing else (behind the scenes type things, trailers, etc.) just so something was on it.

I didn't pre-order but I think they should be able to download the app first.

If you think that’s bad about having no app, think about what’s happening in Canada, as we haven’t been able to subscribe to the service yet and this is being rolled out in the same day as the US.

Why would downloading off various different app stores / devices cause it to crash? That has nothing to do with the server it will stream on. If it is going to crash, it is going to be when you login and try to stream. Whether you're able to download it today or on Tuesday won't avoid that if it were to happen.

They just posted yesterday that the UK won't be getting Disney+ until March 31st, 2020.
