I was hoping to see Flash Forward on this service... but it doesn't seem so... yet...

I'll be curious how the older movies, like The Gods Must Be Crazy, are going to look. Haven't seen that movie in ages and it was on VHS.

I wonder why they're holding back on Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which seems to be the only fully Disney MCU movie not on the list. Unless that was an oversight by whoever compiled it.
Still that's an impressive number of launch titles, though I'm only interested in relatively few I haven't already seen since most are understandably geared towards kids.

The Disney afternoon lineup of cartoons is all I need to be sold. Duck Tales (old and new), Darkwing, Goof Troop...etc. Yes please.

Pretty impressive Day 1 list. Certainly blows away what DC Universe started with last year.

DC Universe is a joke. They STILL don't have much to watch a year later. They rushed that one just to try and beat Disney + and they still haven't righted the ship. On the other hand, Disney has been planning their app since at least 2015 (the first year I heard about it...so maybe earlier than that). It shows.

To bolster that, the main thing they did add was a ton of comics, it's a much better service for DC comics than it was when it launched. But yeah, when you compare prices it doesn't make much sense (unless you really love comics, Titans/YJ/DP, and the DC animated direct to video stuff). If there's not another discount when my year is up, I'm probably dropping it and subscribing every once in a while to catch up.

Is there any listing of what's available on the National Geographic section of Disney+?

Post #348 has the big list of Disney shows coming out. Included is Free Solo, so I'm guessing there are other Nat Geo shows listed as well. I just don't really know the names of their shows.

All that back catalogue stuff is nice but 90-95% of it does nothing for me. I guess the original shows are more of a draw.

Yeah, nothing stood out to me as being uniquely National Geographic. I assumed there would be enough specials and the like to warrant an entire section of app, which led me to believe they just aren't listed above.

The Black Hole, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, Treasure Island, The Love Bug, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, The Apple Dumpling Gang, Tron, AND The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin? Walt and El Grupo?
GIVE IT!!
I have a serious weak-spot for old school, live action Disney movies from the 50s through the early 80s.

One Strange Rock was on Netflix. Pretty interesting if you like shows about the planet. And you don't mind Will Smith as a narrator.

Glad there'll be a free trial so I can see how it actually performs. Seems in the Netherlands they aren't doing anything to interrupt end credits, if it stays that way I might subscribe just to thank them for it and give them bigger numbers than Netflix. (A peek at the Settings menu showed they even have a setting to not show any type of video in the browsing menu, which seems to annoy some people and is a big complaint about Netflix right now. That personally doesn't bug me but glad they know some people don't like it and actually do something about it.)
