I thought Hamill said he was done voicing The Joker? As far as Conroy, it seems like Jason O'Mara has become the preferred voice of the Dark Knight these days in most of these releases.

Conroy will always be Batman though.

The Wife will be out of town until Sunday, so I need catch up on the animated Batman/Justice League films. Any recommendations?

Both Conroy and Hamill wanted to be in Hush but since this film ties with the New 52 verse, the producers decided to go with O'Mara for Batman and an unknown as Joker.

Yes. But in the DC Universe Animated Movie Universe, which is mostly based on the News 52, it became part of it. These are the films that are part of this world

Re: DC Universe streaming service

This wasn’t real good.

The voice actors for the Joker and Batman were simply doing impressions Of Conroy and Hamill.

The change from the comic was a let down. It didn’t have the emotional connection that the version of the comic created.

Pointless.

You realize they have done other movies as those characters right?

Maybe but every time I’ve heard them they sound like they’re doing a Conroy voice and a Hamill voice.

Just noticed yesterday that the app on Roku actually now shows the next episode I'm continue watching instead of the one already watched. They are improving.

That was annoying, but I took it as DC knowing my memory sucks and I needed a refresher.

Re: DC Universe streaming service

Some NY Comic Con announcements from DC Universe:

Get set for the arrival of 'Harley Quinn'! The premiere date of DC Universe's adult animated comedy series was announced -- November 29th. The show's executive producers, Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker, were on hand to announce the date, and were joined by comic creator Amanda Conner, who shared her inspiration in creating the art that in turn inspired the series; and unveiled an original art piece done exclusively for the pop-up gallery, as well as cover art for a new 'Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey' comic book coming in February 2020

Then, DC Universe announced a new anthology show: 'BizarroTV,' which will feature "characters from the more obscure corners of the DC Universe." The mixed media series arrives on DC Universe in 2020, and is produced by Blue Ribbon Content, Warner Bros. Television Group’s digital production unit. Expect a wide range of experimental styles and a mix of live action and animation, featuring deep cuts from the DC Universe, including characters like Space Cabbie, Ambush Bug, Slam Bradley, and the Creeper.

The next wave of animated movies will also soon be arriving on DC Universe. Get set for 'Wonder Woman: Bloodlines,' 'Superman: Red Son,' and 'Justice League Dark: Apocalypse' in 2020, as these original animated movies will be on DC Universe just 90 days after their physical release date.

So the big news is the change of release strategy with the DC Animated movies. Instead of same day as the physical release for streaming, it's now 3 months later. Not surprised they changed this. It kind of undermined their physical media and digital sales.

I imagine the digital release was gutting Blu-ray sales.

Re: DC Universe streaming service

Question. If I cancel DC Universe today, will I have it for the rest of the month or will they cut it off immediately? I enjoy the service, but I have no free time to watch it. Plus, we plan on getting Disney Plus next month.

Re: DC Universe streaming service

I’m surprised by all the people who are saying they like O’Mara as Bruce/Batman. I’ve thought he was awful since his first go at voicing the character. He’s bottom or near the bottom of my list. Conroy is still my favorite with Greenwood being a close second.

Re: DC Universe streaming service

So I'm not 100% sure I will re-sign up for another year at $75 when my current 15 month promo runs out in December.

It seems like the strongest part of DCU is the digital comics and I don't know how many here actually read digital comics. I admit, I'm not a big comic reader.

The video content is very small. I love Titans and Doom Patrol, but this is what they have at the moment:

TV series: 13

Movies: 40

Animated shows: 17

and then there's animated shorts and DC Daily. Plus the digital comics.

$75 is kind of expensive if you're not into digital comics. I admit, I haven't watched everything, but the content just hasn't grown. I know Stargirl and Harley Quinn are still to come for the originals.

Re: DC Universe streaming service

Titans is pretty decent. That’s mainly why I have DC Universe active currently. Might stop it once the season ends though. I haven’t gotten around to Doom Patrol or Swamp Thing. Might at some point.

I don’t have a lot of interest in a Stargirl series despite liking her character on Titans. The Harley series might be alright, I thought it was supposed to debut already though.

Re: DC Universe streaming service

If you haven't bought Batman the animated series on BD, they have the entire series here and it looks really good in the new HD remaster.

Batman Beyond only has season 1 in HD at the moment. I assume the remainder will be available at a later time after they sell some box sets 1st.
