That sucks. Haven't watched American Gigolo yet (can't now since it's gone), but LTROI was awesome and I really like how they expanded on the mythology.

I guess I better watch season 3 of City on a Hill soon before they pull that. I would have liked to eventually watch Let the Right One In and On Becoming a God... II guess I should have recorded them. They're still available on Xfinity On Demand but probably not for long.

I just finished Let the Right One In a couple days ago. It was fairly good, but not really necessary.

Interesting. I just got an email that my yearly renewal is set for March 2nd. Maybe there will be a merger discount.

Super Pumped had been renewed for a Facebook-centric second season.

re: Paramount+ with Showtime - ViacomCBS streaming service

I was in the cue for over an hour to chat with a rep about upgrading my account and it never connected.

On January 1, we did the $25 for one year and we clearly should've gone for the premium for $50 and added Showtime for a little more. Too many commercials and the programming is great, it's worth a little extra to me now. Hoping they'll let us get that deal ee passed on but can't even get through to ask.

Ugh, I think it's a lost cause. Their chat simply won't get you to a live person and their email contact support form keeps giving me the spinning ball of death.

Showtime has pulled City on a Hill, the Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge cop thriller that lasted 3 seasons. It’s not available anymore on the Paramount plus or Showtime app.

re: Paramount+ with Showtime - ViacomCBS streaming service

Days after Showtime, which is currently merging with Paramount+, pulled multiple titles from their platform, the streaming service has followed suit.

Jordan Peelee’s “The Twilight Zone,” which aired for two seasons between 2019 and 2020, has been removed, along with all three seasons of “The Real World: Homecoming.” Other projects no longer available include “Coyote,” “No Activity,” “Guilty Party” and “The Harper House.”

Guilty Party was a series that starred Kate Beckinsale. It came out during the height of the pandemic on CBS All Access. I did a thread, but I guess no one watched it here.

I guess assuming content will be there indefinitely is out of the window now content creators are now putting pressure on people to stay on top of their shows.

They shows that P+ dumped were basically all from the previous CBS All-Access era. I kind of wanted to see Coyote, but I heard it was basically an incomplete story since it was only 7 episodes and was shut down during COVID, so I didn't really make time for it. And it was dumped from being on cable.

re: Paramount+ with Showtime - ViacomCBS streaming service

I had planned on watching Let the Right One in next; I guess not. The shittier thing is that I've been watching the Man Who Fell to Earth on Thursday nights, and I had one episode left. I'm going to have to buy that one now.

Never did get to the third season of Homecoming, but I skipped the New Orleans season when it first aired so I didn't have any real attachment to the non-Challenge people on that season.

I'm trying to think of a P+ original that either wasn't based on an existing property or old show of theirs.

Strange Angel was an odd show. It's still on there as of now. I'm still meaning to watch season 2.

Update: I tried reaching out via Twitter but that's just a chat bot. I went back to the website and kept sending the same "Here's my issue" paragraph message over and over. The chat bot said, hmm, I can't tell what you're asking, can we try again? After 4-5 times the chat bot said it couldn't solve my problem and sent me to the contact page. For the first time ever, it also had a phone number listed. I called and was told my wait time would be 1 hour. Well, I'm working from home today, bring it. My wait time was around 40 minutes. The CSR heard me out and consulted with others on whether this would work. They finally decided if I try to upgrade on my own, it will likely go through but if not, they will override it for me. He waited on the phone with my when I upgraded and boom, it worked.

We went from 1 year of Paramount+ Essential for $25 to 1 year of Paramount+ Premium and Showtime for $75 and I'm happy!

re: Paramount+ with Showtime - ViacomCBS streaming service

Paramount+ announced Thursday that it is hiking its monthly subscription rates in the near future. Specifically, the “Premium” Paramount+ tier with Showtime will rise from $9.99 to $11.99, while the “Essential” tier without Showtime and with advertising will increase from $4.99 to $5.99. A specific timetable for the price hikes is not known.

So basically there is no "premium tier without showtime" right?

I wonder what happens to my sportsline sub.

I get Showtime through Hulu. I wonder what's going to happen with that when they merge with Paramount Plus. I wonder if it will have Paramount plus with Showtime through Hulu or Showtime just won't be offered through them anymore.

I have the annual plan and got an email that instead of $149.99, I’ll now pay $119.99. I got a price drop.
