Signed up for year through T-mobile. Only interested in Evil and a few movies. Can deal with commercials for free.

so option to upgrade to the full plan for a discount? With their free Netflix, I'm just paying the different between the regular plan and the 4K one. Aren't they also giving free Apple+ too? I haven't looking into how that works.

After finally fixing the sound issue format (not having to go into menu to force DD or DD+) every episode, it seems like they have done something goofy again with the sound formats. I can't get DD or DD+ anymore and it doesn't even appear as an option in the menu any longer. Anyone else having this issue?

I just tried it again, and the code worked fine. You input it on Step 3 of 3 Payment Method. If you want to use it, you'll have to cancel your account and then sign up again. Did you sign up directly on the paramountplus.com website? I'm not sure if it works if you try to sign up via app or another service.

Don't have much interest in Paramount but getting the Clifford movie for my kids for free through T-Mobile is nice.

Just checked it on both my Roku and Apple TV and both are playing 5.1 where available, with no other audio tracks to switch to. I use Airplay with this anyways since it lets the full end credits play without their crap popping up, was surprised that it even worked with Atmos on their new movies. VERY annoying how they are now showing un-skippable promos at the beginning of some shows though, you can't even start casting until those finish. (Leeching off my parents' subscription anyways, my dad got it a long time ago for Star Trek and now hardly watches it.)

Awesome sauce, it worked. I was with Sprint, but now w/T-Mobile since they bought Sprint and the promo worked. Logged in on my Apple TV and will dive in tomorrow.

Me too.
I dislike that only seasons 4-6 are available.
A coworker of mine said she watched all seasons--and some from Africa as well. Must have lost the rights or something.

Over the past few months Paramount Plus has added a whole lot of theatrically released content in 4k. They have a lot more than HBO, and some really good movies.

The Smithsonian docs look great in 4k. It’s a shame none of them are in HDR.

re: Paramount+ with Showtime - ViacomCBS streaming service

I personally don't get the appeal but from reading elsewhere, I guess people really like having a stream of programming so they don't have to pick what to watch? Like we complained for so long that we were stuck to channels and we couldn't watch what we want when we wanted to, and now people have come all the away around to missing it.

I assume people like having these kind of channels in addition to stuff we see on Pluto TV or Xumo as background noise just to have some programming on while working or doing stuff around the house.

These forced ads for Paramount+ shows before a show starts is getting annoying as hell. I don't pay you full price for ads.

I don't mind them since I'm used to them on other services (Prime, Apple TV+, etc.) But they make them unskippable which is asinine.

re: Paramount+ with Showtime - ViacomCBS streaming service

Don't seem to be getting any HDR or DV on any content for P+ via our Roku Ultra 4800X (2020 with latest updates). It worked previously and now isn't. Not sure if it was a channel update or possibly they are not streaming the protocol for the content from their servers now for some reason.

re: Paramount+ with Showtime - ViacomCBS streaming service

Not too surprising but it sounds like all Star Trek shows are going to migrate away from other streaming services and be exclusive to Paramount+ soon.

Kind of a bummer as I enjoy throwing episodes on through Prime Video. I have the Blu-ray releases for TOS and TNG as well as all the films and the first two seasons of ENT. I may eventually have to break down and get Paramount+ when I want to watch DS9 and VOY though.

Thanks. Guess I’ll focus on new Star Trek in our TV Challenge next month.

re: Paramount+ with Showtime - ViacomCBS streaming service

I just renewed and updated to the Showtime add-on, which was a bit of a hassle as I was already getting Showtime a la carte and it wouldn't allow me to use the same email address. Showtime/Paramount told me they'd help out by cancelling out my old account (just cancelling the subscription didn't work) completely - but they never got back to me, so I figured out I could do it by setting up a new Showtime account via a different email address and then adding the Paramount + add on for Showtime that way.

I know that sounds confusing (and it WAS)...but just a heads up for anyone with separate Paramount + and Showtime accounts now who may be looking to combine into a single account in the future.
