Sportsline deal might be back, except this time it's like 57 cents. Search on the usual slick website. Might only be a 30 day trial but worth a shot, seems to be conflicting information and we may not know until 30 days are up.

My subscription expires at the beginning of March. Don't think I'll renew. Might later but disappointed they never went through with that Criminal Minds revival.

It is still in the works. There is becoming more and more to like about the service. They seem to be pouring the most money into new content lately, but maybe that seems like they have announced the most things..

The Taylor Sheridan dramas on Paramount plus are great. But I know you’re not really a TV guy, but they are high quality shows.

Criminal Minds is still in development, but it’s probably a year away.

Yeah, think I'll cancel it before it renews and then subscribe again later. It's been months since I last even looked at Paramount+, and yeah, I just have a hard time getting into and especially sticking with TV series (though I do like CM and CSI)... I'm mostly watching Discovery+ now on a daily basis (and upgraded to ad-free, never realized it would be worth the extra $2/month ).

In addition, I also have Peacock and HBO Max (the first free since I have xfinity and HBO Max since I'm subscribed to the movie channel package, so paying for it, but cheaper than the monthly option IIRC, and thus far no ads).

Paramount’s President and CEO admits Yellowstone streaming on Peacock is “Unfortunate”

The streaming deal was signed before the big merger. They fucked that one up. I wonder how many years it’s tied up and if Paramount can buy out the rights from Peacock.

Last year we switched to the yearly plan with the promo code for 50% off. When we were charged they charged full price. I called support and was told the promo for existing customers would be for the 2nd year.

It did show up on our account as an active promo for a while. Then one day it changed to "Null% of Null Nulls" or something like that. I've called them multiple times and they say they cannot see what I see and that our account is 50% off a one year rate.

Every time I've called. Same thing. Our 2nd year starts later this month. Well.

Received ban email about the annual renewal. Yep it shows full price. So tried calling again. A few times. Seems like they never pick up before I have to give up the call (over 1 hour one time).

Here's to hoping I can get someone to answer and get this confirmed as accurate for 50% off 2nd year.
I called within a few days of posting this. They "confirmed" they saw the discount on my account no matter what I was seeing when I looked at my account online and despite the email stating the renewal would be full price.

Well. I was charged on 2/24 which showed up on my CC account today, 2/28, that on 2/25 the charge went through for, you guessed it, full price.

I was on hold for about 60min before a support agent took the call (if memory serves it was about that long in the last call as well). It took less than 10 minutes for them to look up the account and see the code was supposed to be applied. They told me they are forwarding to the Billing Supervisor to process a refund. And that I would be getting an email confirmation and the refund should be 7-10 business days after that.

If not, I will be calling again. Shouldn't be this hard.

Hoping it all works out as we do actually use this service a couple times a week as do our Grandkids.

So for anyone hoping to get the 2nd year for 50% off like promised, it may involve a call.

re: Paramount+ with Showtime - ViacomCBS streaming service

Both times I've subscribed to Paramount+, I've used the free promo code - one month free and the two months free discount. I was actually surprised they let me use the two months free promo on the same account, since I already had the free month trial.

Waiting for more free deals

And actually this would be for my dad, who loves Star Trek. I've only watched a Quiet Place 2 and haven't found anything else remotely interesting on this streaming service.

https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/get-...r-anniversary/

New promo code for new customers

Birthday

You get it for $1/month for 3 months with Essential plan

$2/month for 3 months for the Premium

I know some here are still resisting subscribing. But might be a good price to jump on to see 1883 and Mayor of Kingstown if they interest you.

Tempted to get the premium plan for $2 a month. If I really dislike the second season of Picard at least it’ll be less than one month at regular price. Plus I can probably find other things to watch on Paramount+.

I’m guessing this is one of those must remember to cancel before the full price kicks in deals.
Looks like I need to make a new Emil address too.

Received my refund yesterday for the 50% off a year issue. Glad it worked out.

I just wish one of the agents in one of the many calls I've made in the last year since I noticed the potential issue would have done something more than just guarantee it wouldn't be an issue.

Especially as the last few calls were about 1 hour before anyone answered. Lots of wasted time.

I recommend updating your billing info with a virtual credit card that has a maximum charge limit.

For example, when I do trial subscriptions, my virtual credit card has a $1 charge limit. Just in case I forget to cancel my free trial.

I’ll just remember to cancel if I decide to get it. Pretty much the only reason I would want it is for Star Trek content. I may check out the Halo series too.

You paid more in wasted time over what the full price was in the end. I would have cut my losses, saved all of that time, and just switched or canceled the card on file.

Finished 1883 over the weekend and holding on to my subscription to see if Halo is worth watching. Other than that, not really interested in anything else

This Friday (March 4th) will be the Paramount Plus 1-Year Anniversary. I wouldn't be surprised if they add Scream and Jackass Forever. Or at least make some announcements.

Decided to do the premium package for $2 a month. Pretty good deal overall.

Or Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins finally…

Is that movie so bad that they don’t even want it on their own service.

Is the $1 a month for 3 months only valid on new accounts? I just logged into my old account that I stopped service on a few months back and the promotion comes up on the screen.

I don’t know. I tried three emails and both said Email address already taken.

Pretty sure I never used 2 of those email addresses at Parmount before.
