This worked. I got $9 pending. Should be payable in 6 weeks. So the final price with the 50% promo is $41 for annual commercial-free.

Before discovering the ability to change audio formats (when possible), I didn't understand why some episodes were AAC and others were DD. After learning of the ability to change audio formats (when possible), we change to highest possible quality each time.

So odd there is no setting to keep it at highest quality. Also very odd it isn't more apparent the higher quality audio is available.

That does seem odd. Is that some weird cost saving measure or something?

Thanks for the PARAMOUNTPLUS promo code. My yearly commercial-free plan actually renews TOMORROW, and I was able to get in the code in the nick of time.

How were you able to do it? My current month will renew on Feb 14th. I don't see anywhere you can put that promo code in.

Go to your "Account" page on the CBS Access website (not the Paramount Plus website) and there should be an option in the Subscription & Billing section for Promo Code - enter it there. When you do, the Promo option will disappear and be replaced with "Discount: 50% Off 12 Months"

Hmm... I only see a "Coupon" section and it says it's not a valid code.

Yes, "Coupon" - that's where I used it. Sorry - it disappears as an option after you use it, so perhaps if you've already redeemed a code recently, it doesn't show?

Didn't work for me yesterday, I tried cancelling yesterday just to see what happens and they offered me a 2 month 50% promo for the commercial free plan that I have. I went ahead and did it.

I suppose I could cancel later on and then use my junk email address to sign up again for the 50% off 1 year deal.

I had to call their support to figure out what was going on with billing. Charged me full price then took off my gift card. Should've been half price, then subtract gift card. Guy couldn't figure it why it happened, but he refunded the correct amount, so I got the full year for $25. Now, hopefully, the app is updated (mostly so you don't have to change sound format all the time).

Yeah, I have the Coupon section on my account but it says the coupon isn't valid. It does seem ridiculous but for 50% off I might cancel and resubscribe if they won't apply this to my existing account (or just let it lapse)

So, back to switching audio quality. I'm not seeing any options on Amazon 4k firestick it just says English and can't change it. I see it on Roku 4, and can change it to Dolby+, etc.

Anyone know what the audio is doing on firestick or if there is a way to change it?

I just heard back from support. The 50 percent off promo is indeed only for new customers.

That's too bad. I had hoped to apply the code for the 1 year at $49.99 once I am able to apply a code (still in a promo period and the selection is not there).

Funny because my service had lapsed a day and I was able to get the promo.

If you don't mind signing up for a new account (or using a different email) you can get a year of CBS All Access for "free" by subscribing to sportsline.com. promo code "playoff" brings the sportsline sub down to 9.99 for the year. Then go to offers and pick CBS All Access and create a new account.

Then click cancel on your sportsline account and they'll offer you an extra 6 months. So 18 months for 10 bucks. And a free Sportsline account.

I got it, and I'm not a new customer. This is my third year of CBS All Access.

Have to admit the commercials are not only entertaining but they showcase what the service has better than either name has ever done. Plus doing the change right after the publicity of the SB was really smart.

Evil Patrick Stewart forcing all these properties to stay on this service even if they want to leave is spot on.

Is this for the ad free version?

Yes.

The 10 dollar promo got killed but the code "Rollback" still works when signing up with sportsline for 25 bucks for 12 months (extendable to 18 months).

Some people are worried that this is a bonus promo and that they'll kill it when it relaunches as Paramount Plus, so buyer beware. If you go to SD there's a thread on it if y ou want to read through it, it's been a deal for a while now.

Has anything been posted of what new programming will appear on Paramount Plus?

I've noticed on my Apple TV PS4 app that when I play CBS All Access content, Paramount Plus title cards play for five seconds and then a CBS title card plays for five seconds too. Paramount Plus doesn't start until March right?
