I don't know if this makes any difference to you, but Showtime on Hulu entitles you to Showtime Anytime.

It's the same on Amazon. If you sign-up for Showtime at Amazon, you can use the Showtime Anytime app. It also works for HBO.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

New episodes of the upcoming CBS show Salvation will be available on Amazon Prime just four days after broadcast. It's similar to previous deals with CBS shows Under The Dome and Extant.

Amazon Prime Video to Be Exclusive Premium Subscription Home for CBS's SALVATION

CBS announced today a content licensing agreement with Amazon for the Network's new summer series SALVATION. The serialized suspense thriller follows a tech superstar and an MIT grad student who bring a Pentagon official a staggering discovery - that an asteroid is just six months away from colliding with Earth.

SALVATION will premiere on the CBS Television Network Wednesday, July 12 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT). Prime Video will be the exclusive premium subscription home for SALVATION in the U.S. with unlimited streaming and downloading of all the series' episodes available to Prime members four days after their initial broadcast on CBS.

Amazon Prime Video is Adding Full Seasons of 6 Classic Shows Including Roseanne

The shows coming this month to Prime Video from the FilmRise deal are:

“Roseanne” (9 seasons)
“3rd Rock From the Sun” (6 seasons)
“A Different World” (6 seasons)
“Grace Under Fire” (5 seasons)
“Cybill” (4 seasons)
“Grounded for Life” (5 seasons)

This is likely just the start of these deals and Amazon with the help of FilmRise will bring more shows to Amazon in the months to come.

I'd love to watch 3rd Rock From the Sun again. I'll pass on the others.

Got part way through Grounded for Life on Netflix and then it disappeared. Can continue now.

Amazon shifting their programming focus to develop bigger event type shows.

One of the main reasons why they just cancelled the Christina Ricci series Z: The Beginning of Everything. They decided to pull the plug even after spending $7M on pre-production.

I'm just glad they are giving Red Oaks a third and final season. It might be my favorite streaming series.

Dude, thank you! Never heard of this show and looked it up based on your comment.

I blazed through season 1 in a couple days. It's like this show was tailor made for me. I'm sure I'll knock out season 2 this weekend.

A whole lots of Dark Shadows got added to Amazon Prime, recently (seventeen of the twenty-six sets, as well as a couple of the "Beginning" sets).

Definitely feel like they need to reevaluate their original content. I swear all their Drama's seem like they were Greenlit by some Algorhythm created to try and win Emmy's, and they have flopped hard outside of Transparent because no one put glowing reviews or actual viewership into their algorhythm.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

Man, Amazon Prime has some REALLY crappy B and C grade flicks that can be fun, depending on your level of altered state.... "Space Boobs in Space", "A Nymphoid Barbarian in Dinosaur Hell", and "Vegas in Space" are all super horrifyingly bad, if you like watching that kind of dreck. I've also watched pretty much every sharknado type movie they have. I think "3 Headed Shark" was probably the worst.

Does AP sometimes take up to a minute to reach HD for any of you? It does for me and I have pretty good connection, running close to 80 Mbps download...

Netflix is more finicky for me than Amazon Prime, yet I do notice some degradation of quality at startup on both. We have 100mb service that usually runs over 90+ generally. I often wonder if is our Roku 3 (2016) that is the bottleneck.

On HD, no...occasionally 4k streaming has issues but that's more because of where my router is and my router extender (my 4k television is upstairs) doesn't always see it well enough. Someday I'll be rearrange my downstairs setup to be more efficient like my upstairs one. (But it's difficult with a toddler running around and the wifey wanting to watch Dance Moms or another reality show.)

Thanks for the reminder. I keep a PS3 in the living room solely because Amazon wasn't on the Apple TV. It will be good to get rid of it.

I’ve heard it’s 2.0 like Hulu.
