Yeah, that works too. There's a download link for the app on the main page, half-way down and on the right :

Just to be clear, the optical-drive scanning conversion is built into the "Vudu To Go" program for PCs.

OK, thanks for clearing that up. Finally installed the program and it was fairly easy to use it to get the HDX titles from the blu-rays.

That streams on Hulu for what it is worth...but I've heard it is good as well. I'm not really considering any movies or seasons this time around. (Tempted by Eyes Wide Shut and Misery but that's about it)...I'll probably use my $5.50 T-Mobile Credit for Luther Season 4 or something else I've been lazy on.

It's on Starz. If you have Amazon Prime, you can sign-up for a 1-week free trial

If you're looking for streaming movies, check out JustWatch.com. It's a great site.

My big purchase : Happy Endings Season 1  One of my favorite sitcoms of recent years and only streaming on Hulu (which I refuse to patronize). Even though Season 1 is a little short at 13 Episodes, it was an easy purchase for me.

All three seasons are on sale for $9.99 each this month as part of the Monthly TV Deals (75% off Season 1, 85% off for Seasons 2 & 3). That is an easy purchase for me!

I still haven't ever seen the two-part finale.

I picked up Rosewood Season 2 this week (both seasons are $10 each)...great show, apparently nobody else thought as much. Guess I'll just hold onto the digital seasons because the chances it ever comes out on disc are slim and none.

No $4.99 movies or $10 TV shows this weekend.

There was also no $0.99 rentals on Wednesday.

Those were limited time sales to celebrate their 10th anniversary. I guess the celebration is over.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

sorry to ask this, as i'm not sure if legal and probably mentioned before...but, what is a VPN? specifically Whale VPN?

i'm trying to buy a code(s) from another country that he says will port to my US Vudu no problem. is this true? and is this legal?

thanks for help.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

They're a little too complicated for me. I'd harbor a guess they're probably too complicated for you as well. I've looked into using one to watch Dodger games on MLB.tv (I'm blocked from watching the games because the Dodgers consider Las Vegas their Home Market even though we are five hours away) but could only do it on my home computer (not on cell phone or video game system). I don't know about using one to redeem a code from another country or if it would still be accessible in your US VUDU account (I suspect not; you'd have to make a foreign account; not sure about that though).

Here's a good article on VPNs

well, i downloaded Whale VPN on iPhone, but not sure how that is used to redeem codes through Flixter and then get into Vudu...

Decker 09-10-17 10:13 AM

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Well, I don't know anything about that particular VPN, but one thing I do know for sure : You're not redeeming anything through Flixster.

I think that Flixster Video is shut down in the US only, and still works in other countries.

but how will this then transfer to Vudu here? won't it need US Flixster? is it bc UV and they will go to UV first and then Vudu?

That's the theory. Log into FlixsterVideo using U.K. VPN. If you can see your Ultraviolet account linked and movies in your library, it should be good to go. Next step, test with a cheap code or ask the seller if you can test redeem before paying.

Just set whale vpn to U.K. Then flixstervideo.com.uk or something like that? It takes same username and password as us?
