My big purchase : Happy Endings Season 1 :banana: One of my favorite sitcoms of recent years and only streaming on Hulu (which I refuse to patronize). Even though Season 1 is a little short at 13 Episodes, it was an easy purchase for me.

I grabbed Riverdale Season 1....the wife wanted to see it and had missed the first few episodes. I would have mentioned it to her sooner but it didn't seem like her type of thing. Oh well, we have it now.

By the way, if someone does not have Hulu, I highly recommend Chance. Excellent, excellent show.

Alien Covenant is released via VUDU 8/1 and if you pre-order it now you get a $3 VUDU credit. I would normally do it, but I may wait to see if they offer the disc/digital version. The pre-order is just for the digital version. We'll see tonight.

that's pretty good, but the $19.99 price not so much. i can't pull the trigger on those digital ones that price that high. usually the Marvel and Disney movies are that price. $14.99 or else i'm getting the best physical copy out there since it's usually only a few dollars more. in this case the SteelBook™ @ BB...

Well, if you want it now (rather than buying a code off someone in 2 weeks), you could buy it from Fandango Now for $15.99 after using the code COOL20 (assuming you haven't used it 4 times already this month). The purchase should transfer via UV and I assume the extras will all be there (that's how VUDU extras seem to work now). Code expires tonight though.

Good thing I waited a few hours -- they do have the digital/disc version for $19.99 through VUDU. And if you buy now you get some sort of "fan" gift set, which included a t-shirt. The fan set says it expects to ship on 8/15. I will now watch the HDX version.

I know Guardians of the Galaxy 2 comes out tonight via Digital HD, but I will wait (like I did with Covenant) and see if VUDU offers a disc & digital package. Right now the pre-order is just for the digital version of the film.

Guardians is Disney's first 4K release, so I'll be going that route. I guess the big question now is whether or not the digital code will include UHD, though I doubt it. Either way, I may get the digital release as well since I really want to see this again.

Vudu has the preorder for Guardians 2 UHD for $24.99. It will have it in Dolby Vision, something the UHD disc will not have.

I said fuck it and just went for the HDX version with all of the special features. That'll work for me.

Jim had posted it was 8/9 only, but the site doesn't indicate that. Jim has since edited his post so maybe that's not the case.

I picked up Trial & Error and Batman '66 Season 1. Considering a couple of the CBS sitcoms and/or Blindspot and Training Day.

What kills me is that I had already acquired digital copies of every season of Person of Interest except S1 and I ended up buying a Blu Ray of Season 1 for like $13 or $14 just to get a digital copy of the first season cheaper than Vudu sold it for. Figures.
