While scanning my DVD collection looking for D2D titles, came across 1 that was priced for $2 HDX:

The Last Samurai 2-disc widescreen edition, UPC 085392838325

Another "Mix & Match" deal. : Fox Action films, 2 for $9.99.
http://www.vudu.com/movies/Movies_iP...l#choice/19343

I picked up Speed (upgrading from my old DVD) and Big Trouble in Little China (never bought it before). They have the Die Hard 1-3, Predator 1 & 2, X-Men 1-3, Transporter 1 & 2 and some more. Pretty good deals. Wanted Commando as well but couldn't decide on another title to go with it.

Welp, I thought I would mention an interesting development in Mobile 2 Digital. 4ks....no don't get too excited, they aren't going to give you the UHD copy, but some 4ks do scan to HDX.

Ones I found last night:

Both Maze Runners
Ender's Game
Now You See Me

and then the icing on the cake, Batman vs Superman Ultimate Edition on 4k actually gives you a HDX bundle which includes the theatrical and extended editions of the movie...and still for only $2. For those of us who don't mind used discs (especially with 4k's inflated pricing) and still want digital at some point, this is fantastic.

My list should be updated in a few minutes.

I think that's because they include blu's in the set.

That could be. Though it's still a good sign and not forcing us to buy new all the time (or MAKE SURE it has a digital code). I got Hancock 4k in the mail yesterday, and unfortunately it does the same thing as the Unrated Blu-ray. It wants to give me the Theatrical even though Vudu does have the unrated version available. I was hoping one or the other would give me that version, but no such luck.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

I agree, it does make it easier to not be forced to choose. But thinking about it now, I don't know of any 4K sets being released that doesn't include a digital code. Still sucks about only getting one version on ones we scan. They should give us a digital code for the theatrical and allow us to scan to get any alternate versions at $2 each.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Keep in mind that a lot of these restrictions are either related to how UV works (for codes), or what Vudu has agreed to with the individual studios (for 4K, 3D, extras, D2D, etc.).

For example, UV doesn't seem to have any provisions in it for multiple versions of a film, extras, 4K, 3D, etc. Basically, UV only provides for an SD or HD copy of a particular version of a film. Everything else has to be negotiated with the studio. Studios seem to support 4K versions of UV codes from UHD Blu-rays only on certain sites, and those sites are negotiating on the backend.

Meanwhile, for D2D, the studios are the ones dictating which titles are eligible, and which version of a movie Vudu should offer for a given UPC/disc.

I remember, when scanning in the Alien Quadrilogy Blu-rays via the Vudu-To-Go application on my PC, when I stuck in one of the bonus discs, it offered me to pick from either theatrical or extended for all the movies. So it is possible to offer multiple versions. I ended up scanning the disc multiple times and picking a different movie/version each time.

I left Alien in the tray and it gave me the list of which movies to choose from. I never even took the disc out and I was able to select the theatrical and extended cuts for all the movies. That was an unexpected surprise.

I did that too. It was great. Wish I could get the app working on my fucking phone...

Thanks for the heads-up. I wanted to pick up Waitress next month before I take the family to see the show on Broadway. Glad to see it will be part of the Mother's Day Sale (that is a massive list of 275 titles - mostly chick flicks).

I'd never gotten around to seeing the movie, but when we got tickets to see it on Broadway, we did watch it and were glad we did.

It'd be nice if T-Mobile ponies up another $5 credit tomorrow for these sales.

I don't know why I can't get my map in iPhone to have me at correct location. That's what's fucking up my use of the app. Anyway to fix location in Maps on iOS?

Take it to an Apple Store and have them check it out.

It could also be a MAC address to location services issue of your home or local neighbor router or modem. I am having similar issue intermittently since getting a new one from ATT when I recently upgraded service. Sometimes it shows me at home and sometimes it magically changes to over 250+ miles away.

Well, when the sale kicked in, it was only discounted a measly $4 and was still $9.99.

I checked at www.fandangonow.com and sure enough, a UV copy was on sale there for Mother's Day Sale as well, for a slightly better $7.99, so I bought it there instead.

Also VUDU is having yet another sale, this one with Art-House films, this one is the Bentonville Film Festival Sale.

There's two new Mix & Match bundles.

Mix & Match: Zombie Awareness Month
Pick 2 Zombie Films for $9.99
http://www.vudu.com/movies/#choice/19529

There's some good titles that aren't eligible for D2D:

Re-Animator
Return of the Living Dead
Invasion of the Bodysnatchers (1978)

-----------------------------------------------

Mix & Match: Mother's Day
Pick 3 Films to Watch With Mom for $19.99
http://www.vudu.com/movies/#choice/19528

They have a couple TV shows, which would make this an excellent deal.

Gossip Girl: Seasons 1-6
Hart of Dixie: Seasons 1-4
The New Adventures of Old Christine: Seasons 1-5

Thanks for that, I ignored it because I thought it was just movies. I've emailed my wife and see if any of those interest her. Hulu for her lately is slim pickings and I've had all I can stand of Say Yes to the Dress. Any of those three would at least seem like an upgrade.

Is there a running thread of products at Walmart that have the credits for Vudu?

You can check Walmart's on site for Instawatch titles pretty easily:
https://www.walmart.com/browse/movie...228693_1228694

I tend to only care about the Blu-ray titles with an HD copy though:
https://www.walmart.com/browse/insta...hProductResult

I don't think anyone's made an outside list.

I think they meant things like house brand pizzas that come with vudu credit.
