Yeah, it's strange. It only shows up in FLixster and it is linked to my UV account but there's no Alexander in UV or VUDU at all.

Maybe try unlinking it and linking it back.

That seriously sucks. Like you, VUDU is the only way I can watch any of this stuff. It'd suck if I couldn't get to something I supposedly own.

It is? I didn't see it come up when I searched for it. Hence the screenshot.

I meant it was there on VUDU for buying or renting. Like in OldBoy's pic.

I'll try that. Yep, I see it on Oldboy's screencap.

Hey Oldboy, do you own Alexander: The Ultimate Edition? If you do what does it look like in your "MY VUDU" queue?

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Google turned up this thread on the VUDU forum from 2014 where a guy had the same problem. It wasn't resolved, but the last post is from a VUDU employee telling him they hope to get that version of the film, so maybe his problem was resolved later, since they now have the film. I'd email VUDU and reference that thread.

Does anyone know if you can watch films/shows on VUDU without subtitles? Are they removable? I was only able to find info on close captioning but not foreign films and their subs.

Which titles are you inquiring about specifically? I'll see what I can find out.

Pan's Labyrinth. I'd like to watch it in Spanish without subs.

Vudu kinda sucks when it comes to foreign movies. They only have one audio track. And if there's subtitles, they're burnt-in. A lot of the time, they only offer the Dubbed version. You can't trust the info listed at Vudu. Watch the 2-Minute Preview before buying.

iTunes is much better for foreign films. They have multiple audio tracks and optional subtitles.

Ah, good idea.

Yeah, doing some research it does appear they're behind the curve on that.

But hell, it took Netflix a while to figure out that movies should let you have optional audio and subtitles as well too, so maybe they'll get it down pat.

I thought I had more foreign movies in my Vudu library, but nope, just an HDX copy of A Very Long Engagement.

I don't know how widespread it is, but I checked my email earlier, and as a promotion to celebrate B v S, Vudu was giving away a free rental of Batman: Gotham Knight.

I swear I'm becoming addicted to Vudu I buy movies I redeem. Loving my digital collection for the ease, but I am a whole ass for rebuying movies I have pretty easy access to. It's like my games, rather have it all digital. It's the fucking collecting nature in me. So bad and addictive...

Click for a $5 credit, and click a few times after that for another $5. If it says you've redeemed your limit just keep clicking til you get $10 altogether.

It works, although I can't verify his link is the one I used a few hours ago. I've read that it doesn't work on mobile at all, and you may have to try several browsers or go Incognito in Chrome, and similar in other browsers.

Here's the other thread on DVDTalk. I was able to get the first $5 using Chrome on Mobile, but have not been able to get the 2nd $5 on that or IE11 or Edge or Chrome on PC....

Are you using disc to digital and saving a few bucks, or are you paying full price for them?

both, but mostly the latter :(

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Yeah, don't do that. Do the disc to digital program and do at least 10 at a time. If you do at least 10, it's half price, making it a $1 each. Oh - but you need a blu ray reader/burner to do it.

The pissy part to it - Fox, MGM, Criterion, and most boutique labels don't participate in the program. But I was able to transfer about 80% of my collection. At a $1 a pop, that's way cheaper than paying full price.
