I'd be happy if more studios particpated in UV with their TV shows (I'm mainly talking about 20th Century Fox and Disney/ABC with DMA).

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Not Vudu-specific, but I deleted a duplicate UV account, and accidentally deleted my primary account as well. Vudu customer service has always been great to me, but it's really scary having to deal with Ultraviolet's lack of support. Thankfully, around 975 of my 1025 movies are all within Vudu, but having to deal with UV on problems is a serious negative.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

I posted this in the Wl-Mart Bargain thread, but since it's a question on Vudu, I thought I'd ask here as well. I'm curious, but how does it work - you buy a blu ray with a Vudu sticker and the digital copy instantly goes to your account? Is it tied to your credit card number? I've always used Flixster to load my UV codes, and all of them have ported straight to Vudu. Which is good because I prefer the Vudu layout much more than Flixster.

E-mail account I believe (if you buy online), not sure about in-store.

Via the Vudu site:

Buying movies in Walmart stores: When you purchase a qualifying DVD or Blu-ray Disc in a Walmart store, make sure to submit your receipt to Savings Catcher by scanning it with the Walmart App. We'll then send you both a push notification and an email with instructions on how to get your digital copy. Follow the steps in the message and sign in with your Walmart.com account to start watching your InstaWatch digital copies.

One other note, if the movie has a code inside the case, you can sell that one online and just use the InstaWatch version you get.

I've always had to enter the code thats in the Blu Ray case to get it on my VUDU account.

The webpage I put it in on is the VUDU website.

With InstaWatch, you don't even have to put the code in, as long as you link your accounts. Very easy process, and it opens up the code in the case to sale or gifting.

Do they redeem in store, or do some people try to hock them online like regular UV codes?

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Both. I don't see a lot of people selling the InstaWatch codes all that often, but I do see it. I think most people keep the InstaWatch and sell the code inside the case.

NOTE - I just got an email from Vudu with a survey that you'll get $4.99 in credit if you complete. 2-3 weeks is the wait time for the email with the credit, per the site.

I got that too. They asked some interesting questions.

I'd love to see some kind of rewards/loyalty program.

I don't see as many UV codes kicking around eBay as I would've thought, to be honest.

I haven't been sent it . It'd be perfect, enough for a D2D conversion, if only they'd fix whatever the damn error is that keeps reading my unrated Die Hard 4 disc as the theatrical cut. Eediots.

It's considered a gray market item, so eBay has been known to pull them. I get a ton of my codes from a Google+ group established for buying/selling/trading the codes.

I'll send you a PM with the link, so you don't have to guess.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Not a deal but one I've been waiting for...

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/J-BaKfl1Ms4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Been waiting for months for this film.

Found it for $14.99 on VUDU today....bought it.

Watching it now.

Not necessarily a "great deal" but from what I've read a great film.

It's an alright movie, but it's one of those "easier to respect than to love" type movies.

Since we'll never see The Office UK in high def, that's not a bad deal.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

What, why we'll never see this remastered on HD, or why it's a good deal? I don't think we've ever seen a BBC show that was shot in SD remastered in HD. At least I can't think of one. And it's a good price because it has both seasons and the 2 part Christmas special. I just wish the Vudu special had the extras that was on the series set.
