I don't believe the extended cut of Fantastic Four 2005 has ever been available any other way than the DVD edition.

If y'all have used mobile disc to digital, check your email / junk mail for a survey from Vudu. They'll ask about six or seven questions then send you a $3 credit in about a week.

I didn't get that one...I did get one about a couple of weeks ago about Sing since I redeemed that one. Ended up using that on The Take once it went to $6.99 to make that one more reasonable.

When you redeem the credit, you get a Special Offer.

Disney's 101 Dalmatians (live action version) - $7.99 HDX

It's DMA-compatible, so it'll transfer to iTunes, Amazon, Google, etc. And you get 150 DMR points.

How are 12 Monkeys and Eureka? Worth picking up at that price?

I really like 12 Monkeys. I thought the first season was strong, although the pilot wasn't so great. 2nd season wasn't as good as the first, although I'm still looking forward to season 3.

Eureka is kinda light, comedic, sci-fi, similar to Warehouse 13 I'm told, although I didn't watch Warehouse 13. There were even some crossover episodes between Warehouse 13 and Eureka. It's mostly goofy fun, with a more "sci-fi item of the week" structure instead of tightly-plotted season-long arcs.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Thanks Jay. Maybe I'll pick up the two 12 Monkeys seasons and upgrade my DVD of the movie. Don't think I'd be that into campy comedic sci-fi.

Yeah, keep in mind that the show is very much "inspired" by the film, but quickly goes off on its own path, similar to how the original film was inspired by La Jette.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

I was thinking of that same combo since I've been meaning to get the 12 Monkeys movie on BD, and about the same price at its cheapest. I liked the first few episodes of the series but lost track of it so I wouldn't mind getting it cheap because we can't rely on streaming to have it available when we're ready to watch.

Thanks for that...looking for something to do with my 5.50. Of course, this is structured in a way so you don't get all of one series without multiple buys. Hrmmm...Continuum 1-3 looks most appealing to me and just look for the 4th season down the road. Got a few days to think about it I guess, no rush.

This is a great sale, but Continuum is available on Netflix, and 12 Monkeys is on Hulu? I'm not sure about the others, I think Quantum Leap was pulled from Netflix recently.

That mix & match deal is great. Bought all 5 seasons of Quantum Leap + Season 2 of 12 Monkeys (already owned Season 1). Now all I need is the time to watch.

What was the external USB Blu Ray drive someone recommended some time back for D2D. I scrolled months back and couldn't find the post...

I did not recommend before, but I'll chime in. I've use both external LG Cp40ng10 amazon.com/dp/B00PB4VXTW and the Samsung SE-506BB amazon.com/dp/B00AO1XFM0 . The LG seemed more reliable but it was too bulky to keep in my bag so I'm stuck with the Samsung drive.

I bought this one for D2D back in 2012. It cost around $120. It works well with the D2D software. Just plug it into the USB and it's ready to go. It's USB powered, so you don't need a power cord, which is really convenient. They don't make this model anymore, but you can probably find their current model

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006B7R9QE/

But I'd recommend using their new mobile D2D app which scans the barcode. It seems to work much better than the software version.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Thanks for the recommendations on drives. I will look into these.

I was using the mobile app, which works great for most titles. Only issue is I hit the max and have to wait 1 year to use it again. So I am looking at this alternative to finish converting, instead of waiting.

Huh, I had no idea there was a limit of 100/year. Probably not a problem for me, but I have a lot I'd like to convert, and it certainly could snowball.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

It was easier to snowball when it was $1/disc for more than 10. Now I'm way less inclined to do it unless there's some kind of credit I can use. And even then I'll just do a few at a time.
