I got Red Heat, Sin City, and Backdraft.

I had to laugh when I saw Xbox had a Species four-pack at $53. I’m sure that is the list price, but while the first one is a legit $4.99 movie, the sequels are more appropriate for Vudu’s two-for-8 sale, or they might’ve been 3-for-10 at some point. Assuming one wants to own them at all, of course.

On a similar note, I hemmed and hawed over all 3 Expendables movies in UHD for $9.99. Couldn't do it!

either way, i'm buying disc. a few short extras and commentary ain't bad, plus digital, so win win, unless on 6/8 Nobody shows with the extras then i'll buy digital.
Nobody is now up for sale on Vudu and it appears to have all the extras except for the commentary track. I'm planning on buying the disc.

I'm guessing the Apple digital will have the commentary track.

yeah, I really want that commentary too since it has Bob. But good thing is, the code will redeem dc and there seems to be a couple extras not listed on the disc. Which is rare.

re: The Fandango at Home (Vudu) Thread - News, Bargains & Codes

From Slickdeals

You can add FandangoNow Gift Cards to VUDU now ( Ones bought from FandagoNow and a few other places are working, some are not at the moment )

And any Movie that is MA ( Movies Anywhere ) bought on FandgoNow will transfer to Vudu as long as your accounts are linked in MA.
I just moved an older FandangoNow GC with a balance of $17 left on it over to Vudu and it worked.

Can I redeem my FandangoNOW or M-GO gift card on the Vudu platform?

Absolutely! Simply follow the instructions listed below

To use your FandangoNOW or M-GO gift card, visit Vudu.com and:
  1. Sign into your Vudu account. If you don't have a Vudu account, you can select "Create an Account" to create one for free.
  2. Once signed into your Vudu account, select “Account” from the drop-down menu where it says “Hi, [your name]” at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Payment Methods” from the menu on the left hand side of the page.
  4. Select “Add new Vudu/FandangoNOW gift card”. Enter card number, PIN, your billing zip code and click “Save”.
  5. Find the movie or show you’d like to purchase, rent or pre-order. Your gift card balance will be automatically applied when you check out. That’s all there is to it!
https://support.vudu.com/en_us/can-i...form-rkQCxoCqu

As FandangoNow is offering 15% off gift cards with the code 15OFF2021

Thanks for the heads up! I think I have a Fandago gift card rattling around somewhere.

EDIT: Ha. I didn't realize that Rakuten's former name is on the naughty words list here. (I'm guessing to nix affiliate link postings. Or maybe they once ran over Geoff's dog or something.)

Thank you. Very nice. I hated the Fandango Now GC because you had to hang onto the card and track the balance rather than keeping a credit in your account, which was insane. I lost like $10 that way.

re: The Fandango at Home (Vudu) Thread - News, Bargains & Codes

I bought a Fandango GC after I posted about the sale. And it transferred over to Vudu with no problems.
But I should have split the amount and bought two, and left some money on my Fandango account as they have okay sales once in a while.
But what I dislike about the Fandango GC you can not add it to your account, like you can with Vudu,iTunes.. etc.
Unless I'm doing something wrong, I have to pull up the GC# and pin every time I want to buy a movie from
Fandango.

Thanks for the heads up! I think I have a Fandango gift card rattling around somewhere.
I always have to search my email for the link to my GC, to get the number and pin.

The new card transferred, an old one would not. But thanks for the info as I use Vudu more than FN.

After months of thinking about it, I finally pulled the trigger on Decker’s favorite movie, Heaven Can Wait, in the $4.99 sale. I actually rented it not long ago and thought it held up pretty well.

Thanks for this. I figure between the $4.99 deals and D2D, I'll be spending money there, so a couple of days ago I got a $50 gift card for myself. (And promptly bought Road Trip.)

I forgot to grab this while it was active. The deal now is 10% off of $30 or more through June 30 using code SAVE10.

$4.99 weekend deals: https://www.vudu.com/content/movies/...824?offset=112

Deals of the week: https://www.vudu.com/content/movies/...-the-Week/2005
(There are some $4.99 movies in this category not in the $4.99 section. For instance, I bought What About Bob? there just now. I'm considering getting the Heat UHD.)

Holy shit, The Prestige UHD for $4.99? I've never even seen an HDX version on sale for that price before. Sold!

Thanks for mentioning this one. This is one of my wife's favorite movies. I've never seen it, and I think we've had trouble finding it on streaming. It transferred to Amazon so it'll be a pleasant surprise for her next time she logs onto Amazon (which is her go-to streamer.)

I gave up on waiting for The Prestige to ever hit $4.99, so a couple months ago I got it in some Nolan sale for $9.99... in HD!

Well shoot, it turns out the movie my wife likes is The Illusionist, not The Prestige. Oh well. (Honestly, I personally am much more interested in a "science fiction psychological thriller" than a "romantic mystery".) Whoda thunk there'd be more than one turn of the century magic-based movie? And it looks like there's actually a third similar movie released in 2006.
