This actually just happened to me when I resumed watching Mad Men, but it went to the English subtitles.

When i called they said that someone from Italy had somehow accessed the account. Told me to reset the password and to make all devices have to re sign in. Works so far

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

Don't know if this was brought up before on this thread [I'm not a Netflix subscribrer...well, not yet anyway], but thought I would pass this along:

From the nypost.com:

These secret Netflix codes unlock hidden show and movie categories
By Matthew Dunn, News.com.au March 10, 2018 | 2:29am
The recommended content on your Netflix account comes from a complicated algorithm analysing your viewing history.

And unless you are sharing your profile with your roommates, most of the content is pretty suited to your personal taste.

But, sometimes after endlessly scrolling through Netflix, you find yourself no closer to making a selection from the recommended content.

This is where a collection of “secret codes” will be a godsend.

By making a small tweak to the Netflix URL, you will be able to unlock hyper-specific genres such as religious documentaries or cerebral French-language dramas from the 1960s.

To manually explore categories usually hidden by the streaming service, you will need to enter the following URL: http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/INSERTNUMBER

Then, simply replace the “INSERTNUMBER” component of the URL with one of the codes needed to access the alternative genres.

Spoiler:

I tried codes 8195 and 4734 and neither worked. Just a handful of titles appeared.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

Hello

We just basically cut the cord with DirectTV and grabbed Amazon Prime yearly at $100 and installed two OTA to grab locals. We are now looking into another just to fill the gap...PS Vue, Sling, Hulu, etc...

Mainly we're looking at something to get networks like USA, SyFy, FX, TNT History, stuff like that. Does Netflix offer that or they more like Amazon with Movies & TV shows/series?

NF doesn’t have networks.

Hulu does that.

You can go to the website and see exactly what they have.

Yeah, I just did that the other day too. $35 a month for three months, and a free Apple 4K TV.

Not to take away from the Netflix Forum....but was that some "Special Deal" for a limited time? We got/signed up for DirectTV on some "Special Deal Pricing" on a two year contract that saw our rates start to go up two months in...and several other times in the last two years. The day the wife called to cancel it was..."well...we see you as a value customer and I'm authorized to offer_____" in which she said....."Bullsh*t...if we are so valued you would've offered that and other deals long ago". And neither her TV or the PS4 have that app....but Hulu is on both so we might give that a try......anyone have experience with Hulu as to quality and quantity.....and thought I saw or read their audio is only PCM/2-channel or do they offer D.D 5.1 at least?

Direct TV Now is an online streaming version TV service. Regular Direct TV is quantified as a satellite service and has subscription requirements, Direct TV Now is available as month-to-month and has been the same price since it started.

https://www.directvnow.com/ -- Scroll down about half way to see the Free 4K Apple TV deal (3 months) or the Free Amazon Fire TV deal (1 month)

Think of it as Direct TV only in name. You get free HBO if you're an AT&T Unlimited customer.

Netflix doesn't do live TV or current seasons of network shows, they have their own content and pick up back seasons of popular shows and movies.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

Also check your bank or credit card for extra savings. My bank card was offering $35 cash back when signing-up for Direct TV Now.

They also offer $15 cash back on Hulu TV.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

Here's the updated schedule for original films and television shows for april:

https://www.yahoo.com/tech/netflix-d...150952188.html

Netflix just released its lineup of new TV shows and movies being added to its ever-expanding catalog of streaming content in April. There are tons of hotly anticipated titles set to debut next month, and some old favorites are leaving Netflix’s catalog as well. As is always the case, though, the biggest news is the lineup of Netflix originals that will premiere next month. The streaming content king is now also home to some of the best original shows around right now, of course, so subscribers are always eager to see what new Netflix originals are set to debut each month.

We still have a few big debuts left in March, like a new season of Santa Clarita Diet this Friday and season 2 of A Series of Unfortunate Events next week — check out the full list right here. Then there are 39 new original premieres coming in April though, from new seasons of original shows and comedy specials to new movies and talk show episodes. EW reports that Netflix used Twitter to announce that we will see a sequel to their Christmas original A Christmas Prince...I knew we would see a sequel and am doing an internal happy dance (I am at work).

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

FYI

Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown seasons 1-8 is being dropped June 16th. Catch up on the ones you're interested in before they go.

I'll be honest, not every episode is worth watching. There's a lot of bad/boring ones.

Also, Captain America: Civil War is being dropped June 25th. Probably won't return to a streaming provider until the Disney service launches.
