Re: The OFFICIAL Noteworthy New Arrivals to Netflix Thread

This is a random question, but does Netflix put any currently airing episodes on their catalog, or is that all done after the season is over? I'm almost positive the answer is now (but am wondering if there is some random show out there where this is the case), because I specifically remember in 2007, episodes of Heroes season 2 were being put on the streaming catalog after they aired, which was pretty unique. They were probably still experimenting at that time.

Not that I know of. I think they have some of their own shows that they put out week to week. But what kinda shows are you talking about? Network shows or Netflix Originals?

Some of the current stuff is put out weekly in other regions as Netflix Originals, I know some European countries get new episodes of Better Call Saul on Tuesdays, and they did the same thing for Fargo as well.

They also did it with Saturday Night Live around 2010. The previous aired episode was streaming the week after. I don't think there's any tv show now that does that on Netflix.

Netflix no longer gets "current season" episodes outside of their own material. Hulu pretty much has that on lock, though Amazon has a few things.

Yeah. Forgot that both were canned but that's basically what I meant.

Your Lie In April has been added. It's available in both Japanese (with English Subs) and English Dub track.

If anyone's looking for a good anime series, I highly recommend it. This was the best anime show from last year. And I think it's one of the best Romance/Drama shows of all time.

Re: The OFFICIAL Noteworthy New Arrivals to Netflix Thread

Animated series "The Batman" is up.

I forgot all about this show.
This is the one with the weird looking Joker with what looks like dreadlocks
and was on for 5 seasons of 13 eps each.

I watched the first and knew of the second and had no idea it had 5.

Also it's widescreen but only 480p

I wish they'd put Batman Beyond back up. It was nice having the whole DCAU on streaming.

The Forbidden Room (2015) was added last week. Looks to be typical trippy Guy Maddin.

Happy Valley Season 2 comes out this week, I think. The first season was pretty terrific, so I'm looking forward to this one.

Re: The OFFICIAL Noteworthy New Arrivals to Netflix Thread

Well, Forbidden Room outweirded my expectations. Can't help but think it's in part a art house spoof flick. Nsfw I think? Because butts. But not explicitly?

I'll finish it in Colorado.

One of the best from WB Animation's so-called "silver age." That anarchic style of humor is ahead of its time.

Minions is a pretty big get.
