Sent out another e-mail to customer service today. This makes it 8 days since my new movies were supposed to be sent with no queue movement. They have until day 14 before I go to Netflix.

Well they gave me 2 free weeks, but not until NEXT month. I guess that makes up for the 2 weeks I wasn't sent anything this month. Still I would rather they just refunded half my money. If I don't get anything soon I may just dispute the charges with my credit card, and say I didn't get the service I was promised.

I haven't had anything shipped in over 2 weeks, and I have gotten 3 coupons. When I went into the store, the manager didn't seem surprised that I was using coupons, and asked if I was getting no service. He said its due in part to reporting the DVD's as returned, he said it happened to him.

I signed up, for a new account, under another username today, and will cancel my old account. I will keep you guys posted if they actually ship any movies to me.

If you are using the same credit card as well as PC, another user name isnt gonna matter.

Monday I got 1 movie in the mail - Tuesday I got 2 and today I got my 4th. Glad I am on some different grid/distrib' center. This seems to be about the way I get my flicks.

So what exactly was the store manager implying? That those of us who did report the dvds as returned have somehow "hacked" into the BBO system? I don't recall reading anywhere on their site that this is "forbidden" or will prompt one's account to be "flagged"? I certainly wasn't trying to "put one over" on BBO. I just wanted faster service.

Let's take a poll as to how many other members have reported dvds returned only to see their accounts "frozen."

I started reporting DVDs as returned but not cleared from my queue the same day I brought them into the store a few weeks back. Probably did that 3 times. I haven't received a new movie since Feb 23.

I've had nothing sent out to me from my queue in 12 days and counting... I've never really had any problems and I've been with them from the beginning but this is really annoying and they are on the verge of losing a loyal customer unless they credit me for the lost use of service.
I can't believe any online business could not investigate/code/test/release the fix for a "temporary glitch" in seven days(since I reported mine as frozen).

Reporting back. DVD that was return in store yesterday generated a new DVD sent today.

Looks like back to normal for me (hopefully).

And I was reporting DVD as sent back but not cleared my queue before (can only report after the estimated shipped date have elapsed though). Haven't have to do it for the last 2 returns. So maybe it is getting fixed?

I have only used the "returned" option twice, but I regularly use the "never received" option if the dvd doesn't get here by the 3 day window that they give you in your shipping queue.

If anyone intends to cancel their account on-line, BBO immediately offers a 6 month special for $15.99 (3 dvds) if you continue to remain a member. I initially accepted this offer but canceled again. I'm going to wait a month or so...I have too many dvds to watch...

I've clicked "returned" twice--both times because nothing new was going out even a couple days after returning in store.

Still have nothing showing as shipped from my queue. Now I remember why I hadn't gone to a Blockbuster in 3 years before this deal.

Has anyone read anything about this BBO "situation" in the press? It appears to be more wide-spread then they are willing to admit w/alot of pissed off customers. I think it's more than just a "glitch" in their system. Please post any news links if found...

Not a news link, but I found another group of pissed off customers.

I just recently resigned for the 4 at once plan. I have 20+ movies in my queue, but have yet to actually get 4 at once. Most of the time its 2 and they recently sent me 3. Bullshit if you ask me.

I was thinking the same thing. This is a major story and I've seen nothing in the mainstream press.
I submitted this to CNN today using the following link if anyone else wants to try it too:

Here is somebody higher on the ladder to contact.

[email protected]

She is the Customer Service Coordinator

A few people have emailed her today and she was able to at least get the ball rolling and get some dvds shipping again. I can't say either way, but I just emailed her myself and we will see where it goes.

EDIT: From the time I checked my queue, emailed this woman and checked my queue again I had 3 movies show up in the shipped queue. Let's hope their "glitch" is fixed.

I'm showing 2 shipped as well (no email sent that it happened so i dont exactly know WHEN it actually shipped). I stuck with emailing CS.

I'm hoping they reimburse those affected by either a prorated refund or a 2 week extention on their account(as this was the length of time for this error.

I was able to get three movies shipped today from my new account, and when I signed up, they offered me a two week free trial, for re-activating my old account.

After two complaint emails, I got 3 movies shipped from my old account too. I also sent an email off to Kim Abney.

Finally got 3 movies shipped today 9 days after they were supposed to ship. Of course the system felt like adding insult to injury by shipping out movies from the 6-10 slots on my queue even though the movies ranked ahead of them show as "available." Just peachy.

Hope everyone else here experiencing the "glitch" get their queues rolling as well.

Update:

Both movies shipped out today. As a followup on a compensation request, I was given the following:
Thanks for contacting BLOCKBUSTER Online Customer Care.

I apologize for the delay. Your movies are expected to arrive on 03/12/2007. I gave you 2 weeks free service. Thank you for your patience.

I got 2-emails stating 2 movies have shipped, but the website is showing that they actually shipped three. I hope they did ship 3 because I paid for 3 out at a time.
