Could have spend more, but amazon sale s on Arrested development s1,2, History of Britain and Horatio Hornblower happened just before DDD sale.

I was talking about the DVD release.

Which will be released a month or so from now...on Dec. 20.

I spent only $200 this sale. I got 16 movies and 2 TV boxsets.

Wish I had built a definitive list at the START of the sale instead of gradually remember "Oh yeah, so and so would like this" and "HEY! That's available in keepcase now?" So I've got 2 orders that HOPEFULLY won't (but probably will) take a week to ship, even though they are all titles In-Stock. Will be prepared for the next one.

I'm very pleased with the sale. About 95% of the titles were readily available, and the ones that weren't became available about a half a week into the sale.

By the next sale, I'm sure that Harry Potter 4, Chronicles of Narnia, and the new Peter Jackson King Kong will be amongst the available titles, IF it seems they might not be cheaper at B&M during their first week releases. I'll be ready.

Damn I want to see some pics from these massive orders.

Usually takes me 10 days, give or take a day or two.

I hate the DDD stock market. Prices start low, then rise, and go down, rise and go down. Then they usually settle at the higher price. I would have bought Firefly if it had stayed lower (I know it's only a few bucks, but its the principle). And I got screwed on Millennium s3 cuz I bought it for higher earlier in their sale. I know my order was a great deal overall, but I still can't help but be bitter...

Eh, be thankful that you, unlike me, didn't make a $100 order two days before the sale was announced.

I'm sort of shocked by the number of Firefly sets sold and it seems to be word of mouth that's doing most of the work. Buffy, Firefly, Life As We Know It, and Veronica Mars were all random blind buy risks and I wanted to grab Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared as well, but I'll save those for next sale and I need to hear more good things about Undeclared first. Charlie Deluxe was too good to pass up for that price and the South Park set was close to a steal. Finished my Friends collection with the 10th season and ready to send in for the big box when the set arrives. All the deals were a steal really.

Why didn't you buy Firefly at the cheaper price?

Internet prices are always fluctuating, you can't guarantee a price is going to be the same 10 minutes from now. The best bet is to buy when you see it.

I was almost looking for the sale a couple weeks before it started, knowing it would be any day now.

I spent 40 bucks. i might drop another 50 on Black Friday sales for stocking stuffers. I cant see spending 1500 dollars for dvds I probably will never even have the time to watch.

So, who spent the most money? It's not obvious because a lot of people made multiple orders.

I found that using BBB @ BB on DVDs were a waste of time mostly since they are WAY overpriced and even with the discount BBB gives it didn't seem worth it to me (I only used it in store to get Batman Begins deluxe ed. for $15 and the 2-pack of Devil's Rejects/House of 1000 corpses for $14).
I didn't get too many BBB (between 100 and 200) and used it only for a 60GB video ipod (since I know that wasn't overpriced - same price across the board) and I will doubledip and use the rest on BF (TV boxsets for $11.99-16.99 with BBB and normal DVDs for $0.99-6.99).
As for the DDD sale I did 2 very small orders:

With the first order above I did the usual Great Fun promotion (free 30 day trial and they give you a $20 check). I must've done that about 25 times now through DDD and CH. Surprised nobody mentioned that since getting $20 off your order during the sale is sweet indeed.
So my final outlay for the 4 DVDs comes to the grand total of $10.85 Not too shabby if I must say so myself.
