I had a Gold Box today, and I got Ocean's 11 for a cheaper price.

Now mine's gone too. This is really confusing. Maybe they took it away becahse I went through it three times and didn't buy anything.

Well, if I have plans to buy an electric razor, I might have but...

Those who cannot see a gold box: have you tried deleting your cookies? I closed my browser, deleted my cookies, reopened the browser and BAM!, gold box.

I tossed my cookies, My Temporary Files, & my history. Then I closed down the browser (IE6). Started it back up went to Amazon, signed in and still NO GOLD BOX!!!!

I'm going to stick with my discrimination theory.

I tried switching browsers from IE6 to Netscape 6.2 and it came up in Netscape. And I finally did see Ocean's 11 in my box...and about three out of stock products. Oh well, I guess they're still working out the kinks.

It keep getting the idea that this is the internet deal killer. Giving personalized deals to only a few people in a small time frame, kill the effect of bargain sites. I guess amazon does not like the business it gets from sites like dvdtalk.

I've had a Gold Box since the day after it began but only media I've seen is Ocean's 11 and Harry Potter (for more than 9.97).

No Gold Box for me either and I've done several hundred dollars worth of business with them within the past week.
What's Up?

FINALLY for the first time instead of getting knives, and garlic peelers, and pots and pans, I had a DVD pop up, but first of all, it was one I did not want, but secondly it did not seem like a deal at all. (Kate & Leopold for 17.99) ?????

i just called Amazon and inquired about this Gold Box because I got it two days in a row, and then didn't get it today. The CSR told me it's done randomly. So I'll be wishin and hopin and wishin and hopin...

I can't get a Gold Box no matter what I try with IE6 or Netscape here at work. But I just got a new PC at home, and the first time I signed in to amazon on that PC, I got the gold box, and I've seen it 4 nights in a row at home now.

No real deals, though, IMO. The only ones that looked halfway interesting to me were already sold out.

I got the special edition Memento today for $6.29 through my gold box. I've already got it but couldn't pass that up. Combined with 2 other dvds I've wanted (Ray Charles & Mannheim Steamroller) I was able to use the $5 off and get free shipping too.

Finally got my first Gold box after 2 weeks of trying. Got offered Vanilla Sky DVD for 5.70. I passed on it though. I really disliked the movie and I didn't want to spend another $44 to get free shipping, which I would have felt compelled to do.

Yep, mine disappeared as well. Not like I was interested in another inkjet printer though...

Interestingly, not only is mine still there, but I've been able to cycle through it about four times in 36 hours. Of course, now it's moved from kitchen crap to power tools. They really must not pay attention to order history if they think power tools are going to be of the slightest interest to me.

Of course, in the "My Store" page, they're offering me two DVDs and three books that I've bought from them in the past year, so I don't know why I should be surprised.
