Changing Amazon order totals

Bumping up.
Two orders shipped to me this week... and (surprise!) both were overcharged.
My X-FILES SEASON 4 order was overcharged by a whopping $26.25. (STL 10% discount and a $15 off $100 coupon were dropped from the order.)
I've lost count, but I think this makes about 7 or 8 orders now that I've been overcharged on. Amazing.

3 orders messed up for me in the last month and a half. I've cancelled all remaining orders except for one shipping in January. I know it's probably gonna be messed up, but I got a pretty good deal for the titles. It will probably be my last order for a while.

My last couple of orders from Amazon have been messed up and I see 2 that are messed up & I didn't even do anything to one them except check the status.
My current X Files Season 4 which I ordered back in August still hasn't shipped. I was checking on the status of a few orders last Friday when I came across a message regarding a problem with my CC. I knew what the problem was which was that they were trying to overcharge my card after their system deleted coupons and GCs. Well, I was not going to give a number so that my card would be overcharged so intead I apply another nonpromo GC so that there would be a balance of zero & no need to charge my card & no need for another erroneous overcharge. I knew that there was a good possibility that my order would be in shipping limbo since my card could not be overcharged. So I called Amazon the day of the release of the boxest, 11/13 because all my order placed 3 or so months in advance have shipped before the release date and this one didn't even say shipping soon. So I knew that this was going to be a problem. Called & Order Specialist said that it would ship the next day. Check status and sure enough it said estimated shipping date 11/14. Ahhhh, good I thought with a sigh of relief. Should have known better. Check Thursday evening, 11/15 & still hadn't shipped & estimated shipping date disappeared. So I knew it was shipping limbo still so called Amazon yesterday. Spoke to Order Specialist again & explained what had happened & told her that I thought this order was in shipping limbo. OS agreed & said she was either confirming shipment or pushing it through. Anyway she said that it would ship either Friday or Saturday. Well, it hasn't shipped today & I wouldn't be surprised if it does not ship tomorrow either. But we will see.
One of two other error issues that I mentioned at the beginning of the post is that I noticed an order that included Moulin Rouge which is now unclickable for some bizzare reason & the coupon & STL discounts have disappeared. I didn't even do anything to this order except check the status on occassion. So why this happened I don't know.
And the 2nd error occured when I combined 2 orders of 2 dvds for a total of 4. Of course, the STL dissapeared as well as the coupon. I made the change before I was aware about the glitch in the system that "causes" according to Amazon any order with STL and/or coupon codes to loose both if any change is made to the order.
So to sum it up so far out of the last 4 dvd orders that are/were due for release this month (November) 3 of them are problematic. One was an overcharge which I was emailed was credited a couple of days ago. X Files which has yet to ship & looks like it may never ship. The third order is okay and is currently in the shipping process. (Ordered this in October but my order placed during the beginning of August has yet to ship.
) And the fourth order in which all of the STL & promo discount have disappeared will probaly be cancelled 'cuz calling Amazon every week (sometimes more then once) is much more of a hassle then I'd like to be bothered with especially with the holidays around the corner.
I still have a couple of Amazon nonpromo GCs available but I think that I may wait to see if Amazon can get this problem solved before I place anymore orders with them. As for some of the December preorders, I haven't decided whether to cancel those or not. And the 2 preorders that I have for Jan2002 will also remain on the wait & see list.

I consider myself to be a patient consumer but having to call so often is starting to get bothersome.

Amazon's system must be completely broken now..
I just had an order ship so that it will actually arrive on street date, AND it wasn't overbilled.
First order of my past 5 that didn't get overbilled, and this had a combination of save the love, promotional coupons, and paid in full by gift certificates. I'm in shock..

Well it looks like the overcharge problem is not going away anytime soon. I have a current order that just entered the shipping soon phase and noticed the charge to my credit card is $10 higher because they dropped a coupon off the order. It means another call to a CSR to get credit. I recently received credit for two other orders that were overcharged. I have had so many orders go bad that it is getting hard to keep track of them.

WARNING Do not send back orders you have been overcharged for! I made that mistake with Shrek. I was charged 22.95 for my order and I thought it would be easier to send back my order than fight them over it. Wrong! I got credit in the amount of only 16.95 with the explanation that they charged me for shipping because their policy is "orders returned to no error on amazon's behalf will be deducted shipping costs". I can't even find an explanation of the other overcharges and I'm tired of fighting them on my orders. I'll shop elsewhere from now on and will dispute the amount on my charge card.
