Thirteen new duos are about to take part in the Race of a lifetime.

CBS has revealed its new cast for Season 36 of The Amazing Race, which premieres Wednesday, March 13 at 9:30/8:30c. Just like last season, each episode will be 90 minutes long, and there will be no non-elimination legs, raising the stakes on what will already be a high-pressure competition.

Host Phil Keoghan will kick everything off from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where teams will participate in a traditional Mexican rodeo and lasso their way to the finish line without coming in last. Along the way, racers will go paragliding in Colombia, rally car racing in Argentina, and visit two new countries. They’ll swim through waterfalls in the Dominican Republic and visit music superstar Rihanna’s childhood home in Barbados. Other locations include Chile, Uruguay, and Pennsylvania state, where the first team to cross the final finish line will win the highly coveted $1 million prize.

The cast features former NFL player Rod Gardner and his wife Leticia; firefighter moms Sunny and Bizzy; military pilots Juan and Shane; and twin brothers Anthony and Bailey, among others.

Cool, didn’t realize a new season so quickly. I’ll make my choice of who to root for after the first episode.

This is the season that was filmed before last season, that they didn't want to re-edit into 90 minute episodes. I guess CBS ended up making them do that anyway.

Because this was taped in late 2022, there are still some COVID protocols in place, including chartered flights.

I couldn't believe those siblings wasted time doing exactly this. Why not just back up to get out of that predicament?

All that boastfulness from the superfan siblings being prepared (probably should've stopped for a map!) and they exit Austin Powers style.

Rod Gardner, hmmm - one of a long line of shitty Washington high draft pick flame-outs over the last 25 years. They could probably cast two seasons worth of TAR contestants with those.

To be fair, based on the edit, they were good at both tasks. They were just shit lousy awful at everything else.

One of the great things about TAR,someone could be fit as a pro athlete, and be an A+ Student their whole life who get's a Medical Degree from an Elite Uni.................. and still be an utter flop on the show because they are bad at Navigation.

This is the essence of what makes TAR so great to watch!

The contestant quality seems to be pretty low this season.

they have cast very strong teams that dominated their season and it was a bit boring to see them win pretty much every leg. I have notice that they don’t tend to cast the alpha male teams anymore as the twins this season and estranged brothers last season had a laid back attitude and terrible navigation skills.

We do have the pilots this season and they’ve already gotten lost once, but they recovered.

I’ve always wanted to see a team read a clue that says “Fly to the capital of Australia” and then some dumb team flies to Vienna. That would be so hilarious!

Two teams found the Roadblock while searching for the Detour, but is there a rule that says the challenges have to be completed in sequence? Maybe they should have finished the Roadblock before going back to the Detour and then proceeded to the pit stop.

Yes, you have to follow the proper order of the leg clues. The Detour clue instructed them to go to the Roadblock. And the Roadblock clue is not going to say “good job for finishing the Detour…”

My team, the retired sheriffs, arrived in 3rd again. Nice, good job.

The cousins are a hot mess. If they can last many more legs, they will provide excellent entertainment. She called her Shaq!

This season has the most bumbling idiots though haha
